Ahhh, a rest day. Sort of.
We slept in today. Till almost 9 AM. WooHoo!! Went to Kona Cafe for breakfast. Adults had tonga toast and kids had Mickey pancakes. The tonga toast was as good as I remembered it to be. M-m-m-m
After breakfast we went to Downtown Disney to shop a bit. Kids bought pins to trade and played in the lego area. While my niece went shopping for collectibles, I let the kids play in the water area (where the water shoots up out of the ground). They had a ball. They stayed there for 45 minutes playing. And to think, we spent all that money for park tickets, when a little would keep them satisfied.
We went back to the resort to change clothes and then headed over to the Boardwalk for dinner. We ate at ESPN Club and the kids played in the arcade area.
I went to the Wyland Gallery store and treated myself to a necklace and earrings. I love Wylands artwork and his jewelry designs.
It downpoured for about 15 minutes, with lightening cracking the sky. Luckily, it stopped about 8:40, so we walked to the bridge and watched the fireworks from Illuminations at Epcot.
This was a good day because we needed a break from running around like crazy.
