Friday.....
We checked out of WLV today. I called down to valet for my car this morning & when we got down there, no car. Seems they cound not find it. Something was really mis-tagged with our luggage and the car it seems. I had to describe my key chain. They found it underneath something in the drawer, and I soon had my car.
It was 7 30 am & the plan today was to head over to Animal Kingdom, then check into BCV for the next 2 nights. Later we would head over to Epcot.
We went into AK & did the Safari first. Benita was very impressed with this. Then we saw the Gorillas. They were all out and sitting fairly close. Next we went to ride Dinosaur. We got into the building & waited for about 5 min. when they said there were problems with the ride & we all had to leave the line. Bummer. So we went & rode Primevil Whirl or whatever it is called. Then we went back over to Dinosaur and they were just opening it again. We were first in line. We got into the jeep and they sent off a empty jeep in front of us. Well it still was not working! Major bummer. We all had to get out of the jeep & leave AGAIN. This time they gave us each a fast pass for any time that day. We never did get back to use it though. Next we were heading to Asia for the rapid ride. A CM was warning all coming in that way that that ride was not open either! Ugh! So we did It's Tough to Be a Bug. Loved it! I had not seen that in awhile & forgot all the cute effects. Last time I saw it, I was with my young son who was very scared, so I really didn't see it till this trip, if you know what I mean.
Oh I forgot to say we had breakfest at the AK at the bakery place. Can not think of the name, but I had a great cherry turnover. Benita got chocolate cake! She was chatting so well with the man behind her in line that the CM put her cake on his bill thinking they were together! That was funny. She just is one big chatter box. But she is enjoying it all.
We left around noon & went to check into the BCV. Check in was easy & fast. And our studio was ready! Benita & I both liked the BCV better than WLV. The colors/theme just suit us better. The room layouts are identical. We had room 406, overlooking the Villa pool. Nice view. We relaxed a bit. I liked being close to the laundry room & took my wet suit from last night, & dried it. Dryers are free. Not sure about the washers as I did not use them.
We headed to Epcot & had lunch at the Land, counter service. It was the Soups & Salads & Sandwiches place. We both got the Tuna. Huge portion! We did the Land ride, Spaceship Earth, then headed over to Mexico for the boat ride. We were keeping a pretty fast pace, which looking back, we needed to do in order to see it all, but slower would have been better.
We had dinner PS at the Yachtsman Steakhouse. My very favorite of all the places I've been in the world. Delicious as usual. I had the medallions.(sp?) Shrimp Cocktail, and Creme Brulee for dessert. Benita had the prime rib & loved it.
We got done with dinner & went to SAB for a quick swim. We both bought noodles for 4.00 each at the pool. This was great & we went around the lazy river area about 4 times or so. I sat in the hot tub for awhile, just happy to be there! I missed my DH & kids, but it sure felt good to have alone time right about now!
Back up in the room it was 8 30, so I rushed Benita back over to Epcot for Illuminations. We were between UK & the bridge. Benita really enjoyed this. When we got back to the room we were dead tired. My legs ached!
