Thanks to this board for all your help. Especially for getting me my money back on the dining plan! Next time I won't wait until 2 weeks before the trip to discover this board!

In general the trip was great. The pluses were the dining program (boy did we eat!), the free transportation from the hotel, not being crowded at all, and I have to say not as hot as I thought it would be. I don't know if that was because I'm from the NE and we've had a very hot summer so I was used to it or because I was prepared for a lot worst.

The negatives were the bus transportation. We stayed at the All-Star Pop. In the beginning of the week we kept thinking we must have just missed the bus but than we reliazed that they just weren't running them that much. For our dinner ressies we had to count on over an hour travel time to get there. It took us 1hr and 20min. to get from Pop to the Polynisian for dinner. The last night we left the MK at 9:30 before the fireworks and still didn't get back to the Pop until after 11pm. All the other hotel lines were fine. Ours went on forever! In fact there was almost a riot. Some family came from the back of the line and just walked right in front of me and right onto the bus. I couldn't believe they did it and I couldn't believe no one killed them. So thank goodness the parks weren't crowded and we didn't have to wait in line since we waited a lot for the buses.

The Pop's food was good but it wasn't as clean as a Disney resort usually is. We had 3 rooms. Mine was fine. My parents had these red (blood-like) stains on their carpet and a someone else's hairpin on the floor that never did get cleaned up. My friend's bathroom had poop on the wall. :earseek: She had housecleaning come to clean it. She said she just couldn't sleep there knowing it was there.

As I always am, I'm glad to be home! For the most part a sucessful trip under our belt.

I think I am very protective over my SPOT in line at the busses......AND MY HUBBY is....it would be different if it was a wheelchair family......they are always allowed to go on with the wheelchair person at the beginning. How was your meal at the Poly........I haven't been to the Pop Hotel but we do enjoy the movies and Port Orleans.....thanks again for your report

seems like there is alot of reports about how mousekeeping isn't what it used to be.. that is so sad.. one of the very reasons I stay onsite was because of how clean Disney is...

Sorry you had some unclean roome experiences, plus the bus issue...why can't people just be respectful of one another. When we visit, I am really going to take a good look at the rooms. Thank you for your report.

How was your meal at the Poly..

A bit disappointing. We went to the Kona Cafe. I had crabcakes for appy and shrimp for dinner. Both were breaded and deep fried which I don't like. It didn't discribe it that way I wouldn't have ordered it. My DH and mom loved the seafood soup and I thought the dessert was good thought.

Our best meal was at Spoodles followed by the Concoarse Steakhouse. Spoodles wasn't even planned. We were headed to the ESPN club which had too long of a wait. Spoodles was dead. (8pm at night) We walked right in. 5 adults, 2 teens, and 3 kids. Over $500 later the best meal we had. thank goodness for the dining plan.

Just make sure you tell your server your on the dining plan. Every resturant and sometimes servers had different ideas on what you could get. At the Concoarse our server kept refilling our kids milk. At the very next table I could hear their server tell them no milk refills only soda. Some would give you the kids "speical drinks" with the glowing ice cubes and some would say it wasn't included. At Sci-Fi my Dh ordered a milkshake and was told that would be his dessert. He was fine with that. When the server came back out he told him he could get a dessert. A lot of the servers are not sure about the plan. Spoodles and Cona Kafe was where we found the servers who really pushed the food and added things on to push the bill up. Which was fine with us. Of course they were doing it just to push their tips up. My 3 yr old just wanted a small bowl of ice cream. The server said he couldn't do this and brought out this HUGH ice cream sundae. Meanwhile all our desserts had a small bowl of ice cream with it. Of couse he could have given her that but he wanted to be able to charge more. She did eat a lot of it. Even thought it was free I still felt a bit guilty if we wasted too much.
