Very short day, but still worth reporting. After much debate, Mom, Christine and I went up to DL/DCA AGAIN, stopping in Temecula to eat at a Arby's around 2:30. All of us felt hungry, but Mom felt very dizzy and lightheaded. She needed to eat and the weather was no help. It was very warm outside. For the first time, we tried the 15 North up to DL and discovered that takes much longer, not to mention it's soooo hot in those canyons. We're sticking to the 5 North from now on.
After leaving the tram (it's haunted now, by the way
), I first went to World of Disney to buy a roll of film and a new Disney Gold antenna ball. We have one on our car, but with the 50th theme slowly fading, I wanted a second one in mint condition. 50th related items will be available for awhile and I'm pretty sure they'll reduce the price to get rid of it all within the next few months.
Once through the DL gate, I took a quick photo of the 50 flower bed (hopefully no one got in my shot this time) and we then went straight to POTC. Winnie the Pooh came second, then we jumped on the train to head back to Main Street to leave for DCA. Around 5:30, we went to see Muppet*Vision 3D (for a tribute to Steve Whitmire/Jim Henson's birthday) and then couldn't resist the 10 minute wait for "Mike and Sulley to the Rescue" next door. It was actually less time then that. It was then a quick stop at McDonald's on Harbor Blvd. for their yummy fajitas to eat on the road home.
It's a little sad to see the 50th theme leaving DL and the start of a Halloween theme sprouting up all over. I know that once Halloween is over, Christmas will come up next, but the 50th will eventually disappear for good. I hope they can somehow put, "Remember, Dreams Come True" onto a DVD. It's awesome watching it live, of course, but they've got to get a copy of that show for all to see.
Anyway, that's all we did. And thank you to everyone who reads my reports! I really appreciate it.
