It maybe hard to get a "package" deal at a good price from a UK firm. This is because most sell the packages based on "maximum occupancy" of a room. With a US holiday, this is a rip off, as rooms are sold on a room rate not a per person rate. Personally, I think you will probably be better off arranging it yourself. Virgin or BA flights can be found discounted through sites like expedia, Bon Voyage or ebookers (though the best deals will be available outside of the school holidays if you can travel then). If you dont mind a non direct flight, then travelling with someone like United, Delta or American Airlines can be MUCH cheaper. You usually connect in a northern US city like New York, Chicago or Washington.
If you dont drive then consider staying onsite at Disney and get free use of their transportation between the parks. Maybe add on a night or two at a Universal hotel to get "Front of Line Entry" onto all rides at both parks.
If your budget doesnt allow an onsite stay, then I-Drive has good links to the parks...most hotels have shuttle buses to all the attractions. Plus there is the I-trolley that transverses the length of I-drive for only a few $$.
If you find a hotel you like then make a post about it on here as there is usually someone who has stayed there and can give you an idea of what it is like.
Good luck!
