That's the BEST feeling isn't it? Our trip is paid off and the tickets are bought. Now all we have is food and gifts to worry about. I have been stockpiling disney gift cards for those things too.

Thank you all so very much. I am overwhelmed with the positive replies and support shown.

It is such a good feeling knowing I can share my story and maybe inspire someone else.

I have been around long enough to know that life ebbs and flows with good and bad, I also know that some of my hardest moments have led to the best changes. Still, sometimes when in the midst of trouble it's hard to remember that.

Only 87 more days till Disney!! Meanwhile, I'm going to relish today. Hope you do too!!

Congrats!!!! It is so awesome to pay cash for vacation....it seems so much easier to come home and not be paying for it! You can start saving for Hawaii as soon as you return!

Congrats!! I don't find it self-indulgent at all..as Crisi wrote, I too find it totally inspiring!! I too had a post like this, and although our vacation is not completely paid off, I am close and way ahead of schedule and it feels GREAT!!!

This is my first trip with just me and my 2 boys, all at my expense, and I was a little intimidated to book thinking I would really stretch my budget, but I haven't.

OP, I'm not only happy for you that you're able to take your Disney vacation but I'm even more so that you dumped that job with the nasty person who was "training" you. Some people are so miserable. No one should have to put up with talk like that.

Thank you...it was humiliating. I only lasted a week. On the Friday I said I didn't think I was what she was expecting and that I would give it 3 months and then decide if I'd stay....this alarmed her because she desperately needed someone and on Monday she clapped for me when I did something right. I think she meant well but it sickened me.

Later that night I took my daughter out to buy new glasses...over $300. When I got home I went to take out the receipt to show my husband and my wallet was gone... I went nuts, I sat down on the stairs and I bawled like a baby. I felt like I was losing my mind and that now I couldn't do anything right! ( so unlike me to feel so lost ).

Well, the family helped me go through my bag, check my car, call the store...to no avail. That night I knew I had to quit. I was sick thinking I was going to let my family down by quitting but they convinced me that it was the only thing to do...and when I broke down because I couldn't find my wallet I knew they were right. So I emailed my boss and said I'd be giving her back her keys in the morning.

Do you know the next afternoon I went to pick up my daughter, and there in my car, in plain sight, after all of us checked....was my wallet.

I truly believe that it was divine intervention.
