Hi all. Looking for comments from those who have traveled to DL over Veterans Day. I assume that Nov 11 will be a reasonably busy day in the parks, but given that it falls on a Wednesday this year, any thoughts on what to expect Mon-Tue and Th-Fri?

Thanks in advance.

Most people use their park days after the race. But with the Expo opening on Thursday you might see more people taking the extra day off and coming in Wednesday. Last year there was also all of the holiday stuff minus the tree happening by then. Less crowded that later in the month, but you'll still notice some crowds.

Now my Friday afternoon is ruined... Ruined I tell ya!!!!!!

We were regular DL off-season visitors until two years ago, when my daughter's school switched back to a traditional school year. As a result - since our DVC home resort is in WDW - we've been stuck having to get our Disney fix there (even though 100 times out of 100, we'd pick DL) since there is no availability at VGC over the xmas/easter/summer dates that she now has off.

Due to her school extending the school day next year, I've just learned that she has Nov 11-15 off, and thought it would be a great time for us to come down to celebrate the 60th. Since it's the marathon weekend, I'm thinking there is 0% chance we'll be able to book into the DVC wing at the Grand Californian when my booking window opens up in April. BOO!!!!!
