Trip of Extremes and Dreams! Tons of Pics! 11/30 -12/10 Update Highlight to the End

Yeah for the Crystal Palace! :cool1: We really enjoyed our time there. We saw Wall-E last week, love the idea of an interactive Wall-E running around!

You see the world through eyes that are more loving, happier, brighter, that see humanity in a way they never have before. There is such appreciation for the tiny little things that you might have not even seen before.

My favorite quote:

"You're my favorite!" :rotfl:

I'm already feeling better having just talked to you guys.
Love you all!! Thanks for sticking with me.:grouphug:

Beautiful sentiments. More people need to remember those things.

You're our favorite, too. :lovestruc

Hope you get over the blaaaaa feeling soon.

We're here for you! :grouphug:

DAY EIGHT!!!

I'm so excited about this day. I just love Animal Kingdom and we'll be there from opening to close. I'm excited about doing EE and the animals and eating! Although not eating the animals ..... although when you think about it, you do eat animals there. Ahh, the Circle of Life!! ;)

We changed things up again and are doing Yak & Yeti for lunch instead of dinner. I think this is going to be so much fun. We've looked at the menu a zillion times. I've read mostly good reviews about the food, not so great reviews about the service, but hopefully by December they will have their act together.

I was a waitress once and I last about six days. It was a donut shop right next to my high school where all the kids hung out during the school year. I worked during the summer where only old men and women hung out. pirate: Definitely not my cup of tea. I enjoyed people watching, (the weirder the better!), but the food and the smell of it all the time and the cleaning up. :sad2: I slipped on a jelly donut, twisted my ankle, and never went back!!

For dinner on Day 8, we are planning our favorite CS restaurant, Flame Tree. I can never decide what I like best there -- the chicken or the ribs but one thing that I must have is the onion rings. They are just perfect. I save a snack credit just for them. And I look forward to seeing the ducks. I know they are a pain in the butt with their begging, but I love the way they look at you. Hopefully none of them will bite my jacket this year!

Does anyone know about the buns at the CS restaurants at Disney? I've asked on the main board and got very little help! I heard that all the buns were going to be whole wheat, which I'm very allergic to. Then someone said a cast member told her that they are white with a little wheat added, which I could deal with. I also heard the pizza crust is whole wheat.

Sorry about my angst the other day. :guilty: I'm feeling much better both healthwise and emotionally. Just gotta keep on laughing and moving forward!! That's the secret!! :dance3:

Does anyone remember when the Turtles were at MGM? They had a show and then a meet a greet. We never saw the show, but somehow went into a side door and DD got to meet them. I don't know if she knew who they were, but she had a great time meeting them. They played with her little stuffed Roger Rabbit and she just stood back and stared in shock and awe!!

And Wall-E. This is the first Disney movie that I haven't really had any desire to see. I don't overly love robots other than C3-PO and that other one! :lmao: Oh, R2-D2!!! Take that Chemobrain!! Also, I've heard the movie is very "green" and if I have anymore "green" shoved down my throat, I'm going to scream! :scared1: I was watching a soap opera the other day and they did it!!! Yapped on and on about alternative energy sources! I'm all for going green -- we recycle! But it drives me batty when anything is shoved on me against my will! Especially when I've turned on a soap for drama and romance and it is suddenly educational!! It's like Disney trying to force me to eat healthier buns and then selling me hotdogs and fries to go with it! :confused3 NO, let me make my own choices and trust I will make the right one without all that help from you!!! :rotfl2:

Silly rant over!popcorn::

Day Nine coming up!!

Time for me to go and watch Y&R (a program that is green free)!! This afternoon DD and I are going to see "The Happening"!! I'm soooo excited!! I know it is super scary and although I'm trying to avoid scary stuff lately ....... I can't, I can't! I have to see it. I love M. Knight Shamalamadingdog!!! :rotfl: His movies scare me and make me think. We've seen all of them together and then talk and analyze afterward, which is always a blast! :woohoo:

BRB!

Fantastic that you managed to change your ADR, we love CP, mainly because the girls love the characters :rotfl:

Heidi, the quotes are lovely, especially the last one

I don't know how we can be so excited about a place we've been to just last year, but we are!! Those characters are adorable and we both love the food. I think we needed another buffet!

Aww, thanks, Jo!

Yeah for the Crystal Palace! :cool1: We really enjoyed our time there. We saw Wall-E last week, love the idea of an interactive Wall-E running around!

Now that would be fun to see Wall-E all around! I always search for the cast member who is "directing" those interactive things but can never find them. More magic!!!

Barb

I told you that you always know what to say!

I really am feeling better and after talking and talking to you guys, it really helped. Today I got to laugh with you, I hope, which always makes things better!!

Thanks for being such a good friend, Barb!

Your AK day sounds lovely, I've heard the same reviews of Y&Y as you, I want to try the CS :thumbsup2

I agree about the "healthy" buns, we're on vacation it's a time to eat unhealthy food!!!

Ok, you are officially super funny!! :lmao: I sat her laughing my head off as you ranted about your soap opera and wanting your drama and romance and getting "green" messages instead! You go girl!! ;)

Hi Jo!! We thought about the CS for Y&Y but decided on table for the first time. I've gotta have that steak and shrimp and the wontons for dessert! NO HEALTHY, NO HEALTHY, NO HEALTHY!!!! :rotfl:

Hi DisneyDusted!! :lmao: Ya gotta laugh!!!

I read somewhere that WALL-E may be hanging out in Tomorrowland ...

Hi Joel! How's your planning going? That would be so cool for DD to see WALL-E. She LOVED the movie and insists that I will too!! :3dglasses

I was so jealous of Jay's Mini TR to St. Martin that I had to have one!! I hope you all enjoy!

*******

This morning I got up and decided that Mickey (Safari Mickey, no less) deserved a day out! I woke him and told him that we were going on a trip! He was so excited he called his friends to brag!

100_3581.jpg

100_3623.jpg

He then took some time doing his hair while I waited impatiently!

100_3621.jpg

Finally we were on our way!

100_3615.jpg

He loves the car and always gets buckled up!

100_3582.jpg

We stopped to get gas and gagged over the prices. Taking a nice long drive is not the same as it used to be!

100_3583.jpg

Glad Mr. Officer is in front of me instead of behind (Mickey has a tendency to misbehave in the car!)

100_3593.jpg

100_3585.jpg

We went down to the beach, about five minutes from home, to check everything out!

100_3599.jpg

Saw the world famous Elbo Room and Mickey claimed to be thirsty for something fruity. I gave him a Fanta. He claimed it wasn't the same.

100_3604.jpg

We arrived at our main destination:

100_3613.jpg

The place that Paris Hilton thought you could buy walls, but we only got some essentials, no walls today!

We stopped here for a mushroom swiss burger. (Not healthy, not healthy!!!) After Hurricane Wilma, the roof was gone from this place!!

100_3616.jpg

To be continued in next post!

Mick and I watched the Goodyear Blimp float gently by.

100_3609.jpg

100_3600.jpg

And then, sadly, it was time to go home.

Mickey likes to relax after a day of travel. He rocked out with Mr. Springsteen.

100_3619.jpg

Then when I told him to turn down the music, he played with my MP3 player while watching the cool tones of my lava lamp!

100_3624.jpg

And finally it was time to pick a book for bed!

100_3620.jpg

Notice Barbie and Ken? The Barbie is from when I was a little girl (not the sleazy dress she has on, just her). She was one of the first brunette Barbies. I loved her. Ken is the Prince from Beauty & The Beast that I rescused from DD when she was "too big" for Barbies, before she could throw him away! Belle is on the other side of the bookcase. They all need to get their hair done!!!

When DD and I saw this picture, we laughed and laughed and laughed at how Barbie and the Beast are dressed!!! Somehow it is even worse in pictures than in real life!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA

Finally it was time for bed!

100_3618.jpg

Doesn't Mickey have some snazzy sheets??

I hope you enjoyed your day with us!!!!

We had a blast!!!

And don't tell me I'm becomming one of "those" people .... I already know!

I just laughed so hard that my stomach hurts! I LOVED reading about your day with Mickey. Shame on you for being impatient while Mickey did his hair...we all know how much you really do love hair! Give a mouse a break! ;):lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: I am glad that the two of you had such a great day. And you were SO right to rescue the Beast. What crazy teen hormones would have seen him hit the trash can?! :confused3 :lmao:

All in all it looks like a very fun day and I must say, your day with Mickey rates up there with my trip to St. Martin. How could a day with Mickey ever be anything less? I am hoping we will see at least a few more of these days in the lead up to your trip!

I do still have lingering questions about Barbie's attire!  :rolleyes1 She sort of reminds me of Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. :lmao:

I am glad to hear you are planning on going back to the Crystal Palace. Oh the fun of that meal! :thumbsup2 I can just imagine all of the "You are my favorite!" lines that will be flowing from your mouth over and over again! Do you have a camera that takes video clips? If so, we demand at least one "You are my favorite!" captured for all of us to enjoy!

Jay! :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Oh, I had so much fun with Mickey today!!! He is a good pal to hang with!

Well, I must confess my deepest, darkest secret and show you Belle. Take a deep breath!

100_3625.jpg

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Is this Barbie abuse? I hope no one will call a hot-line!! I don't even know where The Beast got this outfit!! It did NOT come with him, believe me. He had his full Beast-on attire and the Prince gear. No disco-loving-leather-lovin-almost-Village-People outfit!!! :cool2: And my poor Barbie -- notice only one boot. I truly used to have both, but lost one somewhere back in the late 60's, early 70's. :hippie: And Belle! :headache: Or should I call her Belly?? I am totally innocent and have no idea where these outfits came from.

....

.....

.......

Okay! I admit it, I bought them for DD when she was a little girl and I could dress the girls sexy and she didn't even realize it! It was me. :guilty:

I am so ashamed! Go ahead, call Barbie Services and take them out of the misery I've enforced on them for so many years!!!!!!!!!!

However, just to redeem myself I want to show you some more friends I rescued from the big "throw-out" of a goofy 13 year old DD!

100_3626.jpg

SAVED! RESCUED!! STILL ALIVE AND SAFE AND LOVED!!! :dance3: :cheer2:

That is Lady, of course, and my Mom bought her for DD when she was only three years old. She was beloved for so long and then ended in the back of a closet!

RESCUE :lovestruc

Next is Big Bird and he belonged to DD before she was even born. He waited for her in her crib! She loved the eyes right off him!! I don't even want to tell you where I found him. :sad2:

RESCUE :thumbsup2

Next is Mama Bear and the Breast Cancer Stamp Bear and they were okay.

And last ....... Mrs. Beasley! She was mine from the 60's and was the beloved doll of Buffy from Family Affair! Does anyone remember that show or Mrs. Beasley?? I LOVED LOVED LOVED her, adored her!!

Well, I also wanted to be a nurse .............

And a make-up girl in the department store ......

So if you look closely, you might many stains on her body (supposed to be blood and guts) and a lot of make-up stains on her face. Another shame to bear.

And also, the leg of Raggedy Ann. This girl never knew Raggedy until she met me. She's also a survivor of the 60's. I'd show you her face but ....

We just won't go there.

But, I've kept her and the love remains and that's what it's all about, right?

:lovestruc :cloud9:  :lovestruc :cloud9:

Oh Heidi you are hysterical, the day out with Mickey and then all the rescued toys, what does DD think? :rotfl:

:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl:

O M G!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YOU ARE A NUT!!!! In one SINGLE, SOLITARY POST you have confessed ALL OF YOUR SINS!!! Pace yourself, girlfriend!

Busted a gut when I saw your "Final Destination" with Mickey. I'll bet he loved Wal-Mart. I know that can be the highlight of my day sometimes.

Now, I truly feel that I have to stand up for the other "Barbies" of the world. Don't make me call the Barbie Squad. I'll let it slide this time, but you just watch yourself, young lady!

Yes, I do remember Mrs. Beasley! (I'm dating myself, aren't I?) My sister had a doll just like that. OK - not just like that. Hers didn't have the makeup or the blood & guts hanging out! :lmao:

Thanks for the laughs!

Barb

P.S. LOVE the pictures of the ocean. Don't see much of that in Minnesota!

Demanding me around again!!!! :lmao: I shot that line at every single character (other than Eyeore, who just isn't!!) and they all seemed to love it!! I was very careful not to allow Pooh to overhear me saying it to Piglet. Ahh, the responsibility!!:cutie:

I am thinking about a Day in the Life With Stitch! He gets into trouble at my house!!

Oh Heidi you are hysterical, the day out with Mickey and then all the rescued toys, what does DD think? :rotfl:

I'm just thankful I got there in time to perform the rescue mission!! Thirteen is a very weird age -- just you wait!!! :scared1: :lovestruc

:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl:

Ohhh, the Barbie Squad! That scares me. :rolleyes1  You know, if I had other Barbie clothes for those poor things I would immediately change them, but this is all we have left of anything Barbie. I've gone to yard sales and they won't sell me just two dresses and one boy outfit -- NO, they want me to buy the entire box!! I don't need a box of Barbie clothes!! So they are stuck in those questionable outfits!!

I found a DVD of Family Affair and DD and I watched it together. She's very old school when it comes to television and she absolutely loved it. I fell in love with Buffy and Jody and Cissy :cloud9: all over again .... oh, and Uncle Bill. I had a crush on him!! :lovestruc

Poor Mrs. Beasley still has a bandage on one of her hands!! That poor woman really needed a nurse, and a make up artist, and a hairdresser! Did you notice what I did to her hair?? And if I pull her string, she talks about a thousand words a minute and scares the crap out of my dog!!

I've always been on the cutting edge of the coolest things!!!

Have you seen the new Barbie that is being released??

barbieeeeee__oPt.jpg

:scared1:

She makes my Barbies look like nuns!!!!!:lmao:
