Sitting on my balcony enjoying a nice afternoon rain. Feels nice after an extremely hot and humid morning at DHS.

Hit Epcot yesterday afternoon. Did Soarin, LWTL, Nemo, SSE, Gran Fiesta, and TT. DH & DS11 also did MS. We had a very good meal at Chefs de France. Came back and watched Illuminations from the balcony!

Went to DHS at rope drop today. Did TSM, TOT, RNRC 2x, Backlot, and watched LMA. Heat and crowds were awful. So happy to have the FP+. Epcot was pretty crowded last night too. Guess the 3rd week of Aug isn't near as good as the last week of the month! Oh we'll, I'm just happy to be here and happy to have an awesome room at the YC!

Shawna - we booked a standard room. That was what the special was that my agency was offering. And I ended up with an awesome view of the gazebo, the boat dock, the lagoon, and Illuminations!!! All for $190 a night!! Awesome deal! The lady that checked us in yesterday said we were upgraded to a Garden View.

Yeah, I think most of the kids down here went back yesterday. At least that's what the news said. Sure is crowded though.

Maybe it will thin out a bit as the week goes on.

Awesome upgrade! Sorry about the heat and crowds but at least you are in WDW. Hopefully after the rain passes it will feel a little cooler. You had a great view of the fireworks last night.

Was that Illuminations???

When you go back to Epcot, get DS14 the MM Ears from Mexico that have the little sombrero on them. D got those in December and I swear it was the BEST thing we did---- people were commenting about it and every time they said something he would say to them "Viva la Mexico!" and people would say it back after a second of shock. It's something your DS would love!!

They are making the trip back with us this year---- and D is going to buy a poncho to go with it.

What a great view of Illuminations! I hope this isn't too dumb of a question, but can you hear the music, too?

I can't believe $190 a night for any deluxe resort, and an upgrade to boot!

Sorry the crowds and heat are intense. Like others have said, I hope the crowds thin out as the week goes on. Maybe lots of people are getting a last-minute trip in before school starts. Schools started last week here, which is crazy early, but that's how it has been for years, even when my kids were little.

I'm glad you liked Chefs. I can't wait to hear what you (and your boys!) ordered.

So now that you've spoiled us with the live updates, you do know that you must keep them up, right?

Love all the pics...SAB looks less crowded than it did when you were there last time...or it does in the pics. Glad you received an upgrade at the YC...can't wait to get there!! Sorry it's still so hot and crowded...I know public schools here start next Monday, but private schools started last week and this week ...maybe they will all be gone tomorrow!!!!

Well we always talk right about now and I'm not sure what to do while I wait to get my hair did---- and MC has an appt to get hers done too, so I'll sit here and yap to you on your PTR, even though I know you aren't here, and pass the time till I leave.



The pics of SAB last night looked so nice!!!! Looks like a relaxing time swimming! So different than the last time you were there!! I'm hoping that the crowds will die down maybe starting today for you.
I think that everyone should just go on home now--- I mean school is starting so they all need to GO.

I'm at single digits today. But I can't even really get excited. Think it's bc of taking MC on Friday. Maybe once I get passed that I'll be better.

Hey Jodi...me and DD got our hairs did yesterday! She had grown it out pretty long and cut about 3 inches...it looks sooo cute!! It's still way longer than a bob, and she can still do everything she was doing with it, but it looks healthier...We start ballet in a couple of weeks and I have to take her this week and get her Pointe shoes..she is so excited!!
I had mine really short for a long time and then kept it in a stacked bob/wedge..have been growing it AND the bangs out since February...Lordy that is TOUGH!!! I have never grew my bangs this long...it has always made me nuts, but I was determined to do it this time! They are almost to the point they don't bug me...they look so much better~don't know why none of my hairstylist ever told me to do this?!! GEEZ!!!! Anyhoo...it was all long enough yesterday to do big fat curling iron curls...I was excited! It doesn't take much,...obviously!!
Well....I hope Shelly and the Gang are having a blast and all the people who made Disney a long weekend should definitley pack it up and head home today!! Seriously. Well....I don't have much more to gab about...y'all have a great day!
