Will be going to DLP from August 20th to the 25th and staying at the Disneyland Hotel with the girlfriend. Very excited and its all beginning to hit me! Five days in the park and can any of you guys give any advice on how to visit the parks? Will i need to be planning everyday? Thanks guys!

Five days will give you plenty of time to see and do everything and to revisit your favourites. As you're staying in the DLH I'd suggest going in for EMH then coming back for a later breakfast. Don't forget you'll get one fastpass each per day of your stay (can't be used between 1pm and 4pm) as well as the fastpasses you can obtain with your park tickets.

The only thing I'd suggest is to plan any table service meals. No need to phone in advance unless you're set on a certain restaurant for a certain day but as it's August I'd certainly book either through the hotel concierge or at City Hall once you're there.

Wow, I'm very jealous!

The only thing I wish we had planned better was thinking about show times in the Studios to make sure we saw everything we wanted to (in English!).But as you have 5 days that shouldn't be a problem!

I am excited for you-we will miss seeing you as we are going from the 15th to the 20th in August. Excuse my ignorance, but are there different shows in different languages? I guess I need to plan better as I guess I thought they would be similiar to the announcements and be first in French then English or whatever language they have chosen as the next one. Yikes! Is the parade all in French? I am not worried too much but my high school French is quite rusty.
Thanks-Elizabeth

The Studio shows are in different languages, i.s French, spanish and English, and they are displayed on the front of the shows (such as Stitch and Playhouse Disney). Animagique is in both French and English (Mickey French and Donald English) and the songs are also a mixture. All announcements are made in French and English so you won't miss out on much. Peter Pan's follow the Leader is however, in French so be warned!

I arrive the 25th August at 11am and can't wait!! Getting excited as I'm reading trip reports and remembering why i booked in summer (had nothing to do with the 50% off offer :lmao:)
