Trip insurance-multiple rooms booked question

We have a cruise booked for October 2025. In our party, DH and Me, and the our Daughter, her husband and their 3 sons. We are funding this trip.

Has anyone purchased trip insurance for something similar? Can I do the whole thing (Ie covering all 7 of us on one policy?

You should be able to get a policy that covers everyone and all costs that you are paying. When I have priced out trip insurance, I've entered the number of people, each person's age, and the total cost of the trip. This included cruises when both my kids were over 18.

I just checked Allianz, and you can enter everyone on one policy. But, you might be better off making separate policies for each family. I’m not sure if the limits are for each policy or each person. If it limits per policy, you’d be better off with 2 policies.

How does it work with the cruise line if your daughter’s family has an issue that prevents them from sailing, but you and your husband still want to go? Is it possible to cancel one cabin and not the other? A scenario like that might also cause me to think about separate insurance policies.

Older passengers generally cost more to insure than younger ones. It's been a while but when I went on a cruise with my Mom, the travel agent did separate policies. Are you talking about insuring with Disney? Or a 3rd party insurance company (which I would recommend). Be sure to read the 'approved' reasons to cancel . . . unless you pay extra for the "Cancel for any reason" option.

If there are several staterooms involved and different households, you may want to consider separate policies.
