Trip Insurance - any thoughts?

In addition to an annual pilgrimmage to WDW, we are usually able to make a weeklong visit to the Outer Banks with 3 or 4 other families. We're looking to lock in a rental in July, and given the size of the house, rent is steep (not too surprising), but, trip insurance seemed really steep to me. ~$700 on a $9000 rental. This was the quote from the real estate company renting the home. Does anyone have experience using a 3rd party in such circumstances? Am I right to think this sounds high for trip insurance.

Any help would be appreciated.

I dont know what you were offered but I got it for 50 bucks during hurricane season from: insuremytrip.com

yep, look at insuremytrip.com for coverage from an independant insurer. I've purchased policies many times through that agency and have to file claims a couple of times also. Had great response both with my Travelex lite policy and my Travelsafe policy.
