Trip in December

Hey, first time poster.... but ive got a question. My family is thinking of going to disneyland in the december but we are unsure of what week to do it. We are wondering which week the crowds would be the lightest. We are planning on 12/9/07-12/15/07 or 12/16/07-12/22/07. Any help would be nice

Just wanted to say welcome to the Diz Boards and that the earlier the better in December. For sure pick the earlier dates. All the decorations will be up and the crowds will be fairly light. Have fun planning!

we were there the week before Christmas this past year. We had a great time! Absolutely minimal crowds. I'd bet that 2 weeks before Christmas would be even better. To give you an idea, Space and Peter Pan maxxed out at 45 minutes, Splash and BLAB were usually 10-15 minutes. Indy and Haunted Mansion Holiday were around 30. The decorations are great and Haunted Mansion and IASW are all decorated up too. I would recommend the 9-15th but if you can't get those dates, don't worry. The crowds are still going to be much smaller than that week in between Christmas and New Years.

We went one year a few days before christmas(I think around the 21st or so) It was very crowded, but of course, it was a weekend I believe so that had a lot to do with it. I would definitely try to go the earlier dates. Most schools aren't out yet so you should have lighter crowds.

I have been searching on these board (they are great by the way!) for around 6 months for a trip that we too want to take in December. Almost everything that I see says no to the 1st week - they close early for cast parties & they have the candlelight procession that is usally packed. And the closer you get to Christmas - obviously it is busier. So, my plans are DL Dec 11-15. It sounds like it won't be bad - the only thing is Fantasmic! only runs on the weekend, so the 14th is my only chance...

I agree with lulubelle, the earlier the better. We are going the 2nd through the 7th.

We are also going from the 4th through the 6th. Hope for low crowds but we have moved to Idaho after many years of Southern California annual pass holdings so we will be happy to just be there and out of the cold.

12/9-12/16 would be the best. We go the second week in December a lot and it has always been great!! Plus schools here get out later this year so that should help!

We are planning a trip for early December. Does anyone know where I can find the Disneyland/CA park hours for December? Are they open longer the second week or is it pretty much all the same for early December?
