I'm rethinking our Epcot day after reading about the unlikelihood of a 4th fp. Here's our day: 8:05 ADR at Akershus. Then, we plan on heading to TT to ride SB. Our fp are scheduled for 9:50-10:50 Soarin; 10:50-11:50 & 11:15-12:15 spilt up between Character spot and mission space for our family & Maelstrom 11:50-12:50. Then, we plan an afternoon break and have a dinner ADR at Chefs de France at 6 pm. When I planed them, I thought we might pick up a 4th fp for the evening if I booked them all early. Now, I'm wondering if I should move Soarin fp for the evening so we will at least have a fp for nighttime. What do y'all think? Any thoughts are appreciated!

I would move Soarin' to the evening. You aren't going to get anything good with a 4th at epcot.

Is there a Soarin available for the evening for two weeks from now?
If so, then it's a good idea - as long as you're sure you'll want to be in FW in the evening.
Sometimes I'm done with a park and go back to the pool, or I wind up at the other end in WS and don't want to trudge back to FW....

Yes, there are lots of times available, surprisingly. I will say, I've played around with our fp times a lot since booking them at 60 days. The only thing I cannot change now are for 7DMT and A&E. Also, I didn't even book A&E until several days after our fp window opened up. Quite the different experience from many that I've read about.

Same here! It must be our timing. We're going on Aug 17th and I actually booked 2 A&E FPs because I was afraid something would happen and we wouldn't make the first one.
People should try for FP's right up to the last minute... if my DD is successful with her first A&E, we'll most likely trade the second one in for something else... so three spots will open when that happens and whoever bothers to check at just the right time will get very lucky...

We picked the same for our FP+ but I picked Maelstrom in the evening since we'll be in WS and not FW for the evening.

That actually makes the most sense! Maybe we should just be done with FW as the pp mentioned and focus on touring the worlds after dinner. Hopefully, it will be somewhat cooler then as well.

I appear to be in the minority here, but moving Soarin' to nighttime seems to defy logic, at least for me. Keeping it in the morning still gives the possibility of a 4th/5th etc. FP+ throughout the day. Moving it to evening, as your 3rd, would essentially eliminate even the *possibility* of grabbing that 4th.

You likely wouldn't be grabbing a headliner at that point (after Maelstrom), but could eliminate any potential lines for Spaceship Earth, Living With the Land, or Nemo.

Just thoughts :)
