with MONO! I didn't even know 7 year olds could get mono! Okay, so I need a lot of advice and help with my many scenarios. First of all the doctor felt that she would be better in two weeks, but I am worried that she might not be. I have a lot of options and scenarios going thru my mind:
1. Keep the June reservation and hope for the best. She might be fatigued so we could rent a stroller, (she is very small) but will probably be through the worst of it. A different trip, definitely not commando, with a lot of relaxing times.
2. Cancel the trip. Points will go into holding. We have a February use year...but think I borrowed from 2014 some points. How does that factor in? I know I have 60 days to use the points. Is that 60 days from the date of the June reservation or from the cancellation day? Not sure about that. So that means another vacation in the summer, probably the first week of August. How does that compare to the second week of June? Am I right on this? We have never canceled before. Also, would anything even be available that week? I did look online this morning, and OKW and SSR are still available now. Will they be in a couple weeks if we wait to cancel?
3. Exposure to mono occurs 4-8 before symptoms present themselves. So are we all just ticking time bombs waiting for this to erupt? I know my son ate after her a couple of weeks ago. I would hate for him to develop mono on a trip. Should we just rent the reservation and skip our summer trip? (We have one planned in the fall as well.)
4. Finally, my DH wants to just keep the initial reservation and when we get close to the trip, decide then. What is the latest you can cancel for the points to go into holding?
Okay, I think that is all the questions I have right now. My mind is racing. Any help and advice you can give is GREATLY appreciated! Thank you!

She still has a slight fever, but she is quickly getting better every day. Her main issues are the glandular swelling and sore throat, but her energy level has quickly returned. As a matter of fact, she is hyper and stir crazy! ( We know however that the Florida heat and walking might still be taxing, but we are thinking it will be doable.) I am still concerned about one of us getting it though so we are going to wait until the day before to decide.
