TRIP CANCELLED...The "we're not reeeeally planning a trip" pre-trip report...

After first having to stich up & re-stuff a dog toy (this is Amber's "Dirk" and he is her baby but unfortunately, sonetimes, she just loves him a bit too much) I started packing last night. We're taking the car & can bring as much stuff as we need/want & I still only have 3 bags for 3 people +1 dog...and it all really could have been fit into 1 duffel :rotfl:. All of those years of packing for motorcycle trips really have come in handy.

One of the bags in Amber's and she was just delerious when she realized that a bag was getting packed for her. Tonight I'll make sure that all of the dishes and laundry are done & any last minute, oops I forgot to pack it things are rounded up. And tomorrow we leave bright & early in the morning, headed south to Virginia. Everybody's excited :goodvibes.

Love that you packed for Amber. :goodvibes My old dog Mozart had a fluff toy that went through many repairs. He would sleep with it in his mouth like a pacifier.

Hope you have a great trip and I can't wait to see pics!

Oh I remember that sweet picture that you posted of Mozart, lying on the pillow & sucking on his toy. SO adorable .

JM, Amber was positively dancing when she saw me fold up "her" (washed) blanket and put it in the bag followed by her leash and collars. It's adorable seeing how excited she is. I thought that she was going to start bringing me toys & things to pack for her like William does :rotfl:.

This particular toy of Amber's is a replacement that I got off of Ebay. It was her special toy from when we first rescued her and had been washed & sewn back up so many times that there was nothing left. So I had to resort to Ebay for black market dog toys! But even though she has other toys that she likes to suck on, nothing comes close to this particular "baby". I'd better get a back up for the back up while I still can!

Hope you have a great trip and I can't wait to see pics!
Thanks so much :goodvibes. I'll report back next week...with pics!

Amber sounds a lot like Mozart. He would cry over his fluff toy. If he ever had something he shouldn't, I could threaten fluff toy and he would drop it. He would move it out of the way when I vacuumed. And at one point during a move it was placed in a box that didn't get unpacked for 3 months. When I found it I tried to hide it from him to stitch it up real quick. He saw it and had tears dripping. The boy was the biggest crier.

Ok, sorry to hijack your thread. Be sure to post pics about your trip, incluing Amber. So glad you are still taking a vaca!

Hi Nina!

Have fun on your not-Disney holiday, I'm sure you'll have loads of fun!!! Busch Gardens sounds good, we do eventually plan to going to the one in Florida. How did William take the not-Disney holiday news? TBH though kids at that age are happy just to be going anywhere!

How's the pitcher of Glowtini's doing? :cool2:
