Trip at Christmas

We are going to happen to be in Orlando for a quick trip the week after Christmas. Just curious of a few things. Any discounts anyone knows of for just one day at the MK? Would you "waste time" at a character buffet, if so which one? Any day better than the rest to visit MK the week after Christmas? Kids are 7,6,2,1. Any suggestions on what to ride or how to make the most of that day would be appreciated. Kids do not like thrill rides.

well if you do deciede to have a character meal which could take up to an hour or more try making your priority seating time for the last seating that they have for breakfast, which is usually at about 11 or so , then you can have a brunch and kill 2 birds with one stone. Also Chef Mickeys is just a short monorail ride away and is great! then you can just (get your hand stampped before you leave)come back to the Mk after. Be there when the park opens, also if you go on sun or thurs it will probably be busier than other days because it is the extra magic day for resort guests. Also fri and sat might be busy with people coming for weekend trips. I would try a tues or a wed in my opinion. Go straight to fantasy land and do all the attractions there first cause those will get most packed!! by afternoon time. Toontown and now adventure land does not open until 10 so if it is before then go over to tomorrowland and do buzz, race cars etc. Dont forget to find the characters in toontown and meet mickey at the judges tent, also i always make sure to visit petes paint shop and get our faces painted.Take advantage of the fast pass it can be your best friend if it is busy. Tip , once the return time on the pass goes by you can get another fast pass, so if it says return 10-11 at 10:01 you can get another fast pass and have 2 at the same time.

Your kids are the perfect age for a character meal--and how can you go wrong when the two youngest will eat for free? I think your kids would love Crystal Palace with Pooh and Friends. You need to get ressies for that soon, though...
