Trimming magic bands--- any way to smooth edges?

I pulled the gray off my kids' and my MBs and it leaves the edges rough and scratchy. Is there any easy way to smooth them? I've tried trimming with scissors but there's not enough to trim. Anyone know how to fix it?

Use a nail file to smooth them.

Yes. I just used an old fashioned Emory board, not a metal type nail file. It took a little while, but made the edges nice and smooth.

The bands were very comfortable for me. I had to pull the grey part off of my band, didn't notice anything scratchy.

I found them so comfortable, I forgot I had it on. You can also purchase a sleeve for it, if you want to.

Used a razorblade on my son's. It was easy and afterwards it was completely smooth. I was shocked it was so rough beforehand though.

My daughter and I peeled off the outer part and our bands weren't rough at all. Weird.

To make them fit smaller wrists.

I trim with an xacto knife and it is left perfectly smooth.

I also made mine smaller previously and it was not scratchy either. This was the old band with the darker inside. Last two trips I just left them big and slide them on and off.

if you pull it one direction, it leaves an edge, if you pull it the other way then it's clean... sorry that might not sound too helpful, but I couldn't figure out how to describe which is the "right" way. lol

sounds like a job for a lighter. Just whisk a lighter over the edge and the scratchy part should melt off. I have never tried it but in general that is the best way to do something like that
