Hi I am 38 and in hopes of losing a total of 40 lbs. I am following the Trim at Home program and I will be starting week 4 tomorrow. So far I have lost 12 lbs, so that is really exciting. Trim at Home is an 8 week program and my hopes were to lose 20 lbs in the 8 weeks. Of course the weekend after I finish the 8 week plan I will be heading to the World for a week. After I return I planning on getting right back on the plan until I lose the total 40 lbs. I really hope I don't gain everything back while on vacation. I am hoping I can make decent dicisions on my food. Is anyone else doing this program or have tried it in the past?

Hi-

Congrats on your weight loss. What kinds of foods are you eating on this plan?

Well just started week 5 and I am now down 15 lbs, so I am very excited.
The plan is a low carb plan with plenty of protein, fruits and veggies (plenty of healthy carbs). This morning for breakfast I had a rice cake with no sugar added jam, a banana and a piece of lf cheese. With this plan you don't have to weigh or measure any of the food that you eat which is great, but you have to follow the menu plans that they send to you. There are items from the menu that you can switch out for other items in case there is something that yo don't like. I have really found this plan has been really educational for me as to what is best for my body. I have found that I really believe that I have a gluten intolerance of some type as I feel soooo much better eating this way (no more tummy problems)!!! The weight is coming off pretty quickly and easily. This is plan is pretty easy to integrate in with what my family is eating too. DH is 6' 4" and weighs about 180, so he doesn't need to lose any weight!! Last night I had some leftover baked chicken, small baked potato and some spinach. The rest of the family had leftover chicken, potato, stuffing and peas. At least with this plan I don't have to cook a completely separate meal for myself. Tonight is steak with the family and I just won't be eating the pasta that they will have! Heading to WDW in 4 weeks and I have really been scouring the menus of where we will be eating so that I can attempt to eat as gluten free as possible and continue to make the best choices possible. When I get back I am going to go right back on this plan and hopefully drop another 20 lbs by the end of the year for a total of 40 lbs. Then to maintain it which is always the hardest part for me, but one step at a time I guess!

if you want to. Any restaurant and counter service place can accomodate you with gluten free options. You can even get gluten free brownies, cookies etc if you want sweets while there. I'm just letting you know if you want to avoid gluten.

I have a dairy intolerance and the only thing I wish I could eat at Disney is treats from the bakery. But I know how terrible I feel when I do so I avoid it. Disney does a great job with food allergies etc.

Congrats on your weight loss.
