Tried to Modify FD Bounceback Ressie

I called CRO today to try and modify reservations we made this past Sept. with the FD bounceback.

We made two reservations for Oct. '09, with free dining......one in my name and one in DH's name, because my 22yr old son was interested in possibly joining us. I thought we had booked each room for 2 adults (total of 4) but when I viewed our emails.....they were only booked for 1 adult for each room.

I asked CRO to change the lead name on one of the ressies to my son's name, which they said was not possible. But, adding an extra adult per room, under the promo was not going to be a problem.

We needed my son ( and friend) on their own reservation because they are unable to stay the entire 9 days. (He would have called at a later date to shorten the existing reservation.)

I hope I'm making sense......but since we had to book a package and upgraded to deluxe dining and would end up with different travel dates.....I needed to move my name to DH's ressie and have the other ressie converted to my son's name.

Well, to make a long story short....They said it could not be done! So I guess I will hope for a pin code or some other awesome promo for the first week in Oct. to book my son's reservation.

Anybody have any experience with ths kind of modification??

That does make sense. Since your son was not on the trip with you and DH this past September, he could not book a "bounceback" promotion. He can't be the lead guest on one of the ressies because he wasn't on the original ressie that you are "bouncing back" from. Your best bet would be to book the one room that you and DH need, with your dates, then hope free dining is offered to the public again, and have your son book the dates he needs on his own.

I have successfully modified bounceback reservations before, but none were this complicated. Mine involved changing resorts and/or dates. Never names, package types, etc.

Bounce back offers are only good for the adults staying onsite at the time of the offer. You can add people that are not there, but they cannot be the lead on the reservation with the bounce back offer because they were not given the offer. That modification cannot be done with the offer.
