Tried to buy AK add-on but . . .

Tried to buy AK add-on but had no luck! I recently stayed at AKL( Friday and Saturday) before moving to BWV. WOW! I hope they consider adding DVC there prior to Eagle Pines. Are any other DVC members interested?

There seems to be a fair amount of interest in an AKL Villas. But the more experienced posters on these Boards tend to discount the likelihood. Three of the reasons I have heard are: 1) disruption to the animals in the reserve (supposedly building AKL caused some problems); 2) timing (by the time they would finish the now delayed Eagle Pines and get an AKLV underway, they would be too close to the 2042 reversion date); and 3) site limitations of some sort.

That said, I would be thrilled if they did build one at AKL!

1) They're building a new roller coaster at AK.
2) Is there still any interest in Eagle Pines? Weren't BCV & SS announced after plans for EP.
3) Wetlands never stopped Disney before.

but, only if construction does not cause any harm to the animals.
supposedly the construction of AKL caused some of the animals to get sick (maybe worse?) from the stress of having a construction site so close to them?
i'm not sure exactly what happened, but that is what i have read here on the boards.

Eagle Pines was announced after BCV was nearing completion. It was then superceded by the plans for Saratoga Springs. Saratoga was done first since it was a way to put the Disney Institute "plant" to use....spa, pools, restaurants, etc. and could be put together faster than starting completely from scratch. I'm hoping that they will go ahead with the EP plans in the not too distant future. But, I would also be very interested in an AK DVC!
