Tricky Tuesday Triddle

Sorry Geezer, the first two "clues" were supposed to be "tounge in cheek" responses. Sorry to anyone who took them too seriously. I was trying to have some fun.

As for this riddle, beyond the obvious, I'm guessing there is some sub-text most of us are missing. Yesterday's riddle answer was posted in the thread before I even looked at it.

Most of the riddles are fun and usually challenging.

Geezer

I've asked Miss Cleo for some help for us. She sees all and knows all so we should get an answer!:teeth:

Let's see....There are some rules to riddling...for those of you who have lost your copy, or are reading from the wrong book....here you go:

ALL of the riddles have an answer. We don't make up the riddles, we usually find them somewhere on line. Don't blame the riddler if you don't "get" the gist of the riddle. We're merely trying to have some fun for everyone on the CB....usually the morning crowd.

WHEN you have figured out the answer to the riddle, please send a PM to the person who posted the riddle. Usually, it's me, Lars624, firstmickey, or Melora. However, the person posting the riddle should be the one you send your PM to.

IF you don't get a response to your PM or a TU (thumbs up) or other likewise award for sending the correct answer....don't sweat it.....real life sometimes gets in the way of riddling

USUALLY there are clues in the posts from the riddling "regulars" these clues are usually not labeled as such and usually make much more sense once you figure out the riddle.

FINALLY, enjoy yourself here, we're a fun-loving bunch who enjoy spending a bit of time together most mornings. The only steadfast rule we have is BE NICE TO EACH OTHER.

======
Oh yeah, and if you think changing the names in the riddles negates the fact that there is truly an acceptable correct answer...
you must have had something else in mind.

John--there REALLY is a legit answer to today's riddle..it may just involve some thinking outside of the box...give it whirl.

Okay Geezer, here's how it works:

The riddle changes each day. The first post on the thread is a riddle.

Some are harder to understand than others. Sometimes they are math, or wordplay, or general.

You send a PM to the person who started the thread with you guess. If it is correct, they will post a picture with your name under it.

In between everyone's guesses is general chit-chat, occassional clues, and joking around.

Because today's riddle used a real name (Lou) of one of our irRegulars in the example..there is extra joking and it may appear more confusing.

The great thing is it's different each day. Maybe tomorrow's will be more your taste..try again!

That keeps me out of it as the guards have not opened my cage so I can't get out of this box.

Besides I got the answer hours ago. Google is a wonderful thing. And I always preferr taking Chase to the hardware store with me. He's a lot more fun.pirate:

John, you don't need the guards to let you out for your thoughts to be outside the box.....unless someone else has control of your thoughts too.

and if you googled the answer hours ago...how come you're trying to cause trouble by telling new visitors there isn't an answer???????

If the riddle is about Lou, it usually has no solution. Lou is a super-intelligent, creative (see the yearbook thread), cat lover. He cannot be solved by mere mortals.

I really was gonna let this go, BUT:

Actually JOHN.....

Lou is a very nice guy who happens to add a little bit of fun to our riddle and angel thread.
While he teases us and laughs with us, he never crosses a line and remains respectful.
He would never try to intentionally hurt anyone's feelings. He is the first one to laugh at himself too.

I consider him a friend and so do many other people on this and the angel thread.

busy morning and finally peeked in... between reading the riddle and looking for "clues" I think I am way more confused than I was when I first looked at this thread :p

I think I left my brain in FL ;)

I understand why I had so much trouble with the riddle now.

Like CdnDisneyNut, there is a "cultural" difference that I did not pick up on! :wave2:

Hope everyone has a :sunny: day.

Yeah, I have the same problem

I'd have to shop with John and Andrew, or maybe my buddy Dix!

Donna and John..each take a deep breath and hold off for a bit....

Good job Donna.

We guys get into enough problems without having our intentions misread! ::yes::

Of course, Lou just wound up getting double-praised through the whole thing so he probably has to expand his hat size....;)

 Lou!
