Tricky ticket/FP+ question...

I have 7 day tickets purchased through Undercover Tourist attached to MDE. We have lengthened our stay and are now staying Dec. 10-20. I know when 60 days out I can only make 7 days of FP+ because we only have 7 days on our tickets. We plan on upgrading to 10 day tickets after arrival. My plan as of now is on our 60 day out mark to make FP+s for Dec. 13-20 (even though we might go in the parks on the 10th, 11th and 12th) because the crowd calendars are predicting 9/10 and 10/10 for many of those later days so the FP+s are more important during high crowds (more manageable earlier in the trip). Here is my question. If we don't have FP+s arranged for the 10th-12th of December BEFORE arrival, after we upgrade can we pre-arrange some FP+s for Dec. 10-12? Thank you!

Another option is to not pre-book FP+ for the days at a park with the least need for advance FP booking.
(A park, or parks that have attractions for which booking FP+ far in advance is least necessary.)
Then, after you arrive and upgrade the tickets, book for those "missing" days.
