One of my favorite on-line sites to visit, after the Disboards, of course, is Proresscityusa. There is a recent article on that site stating that former President, Richard Nixon, and his family visited WDW in 1984, where they visited Pioneer Hall and enjoyed the Hoop Dee Doo Review.

This was before my time.

Was anybody there when Tricky Dick visited?

I did not know that. Very interesting!

And while I did know that he declared that he was "not a crook," I didn't know that he did that in a press conference at the Contemporary Resort.

This wasn’t Nixon’s most famous Walt Disney World trip, though. That had to have been his 1973 trip, where, in a press conference at the Contemporary Resort Hotel, he famously proclaimed, “I am not a crook.” (Spoiler Alert: He totally was a crook!)

And what about

John Lennon, whom Nixon was obsessed with deporting, signed the papers that dissolved the Beatles partnership at the Polynesian Village Resort in 1974

We need to ask Ken at TE about Nixon, he was around back then.
