Is it possible to get to the Tri-Circle-D Ranch with a combo of a car and walking (rather than using Disney transportation)? We’ll be coming from another resort and have no time constraints. I’m having a hard time figuring it out on the map. Thanks for any advice!!

cant say for sure now but last time I was there, there was no car parking in that area of campground. it would be over a mile walk from where you had to park car to the Ranch in the campground. paved walkways but still a distance. easiest way there would be park for MK and take the boat over from MK and take the short walk to Ranch. all at that end of campground. probably not the answer you were hoping for

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but does anybody know if you can rent the sea raycers at Fort Wilderness now or at the Contemporary? We are arriving Jan 7-12 2021.

No, the sea racer rentals (and all boat rentals for that matter) have not returned to any of the resorts since reopening. The only marina option available is guided fishing excursions (which are a lot of fun, by the way).

I’ve had recreation CMs tell me everything from “they are never coming back” to “there are plans to bring them back” - so who knows what eventually happens.

Hope that helps.

If you are just wanting to go look around the new Tri-Circle-D Barn then parking at the MK and using the ferry boat to Fort Wilderness is the best way and is a pretty short walk from where you disembark. Keep in mind as you only said a different resort, if it’s off property you will have to pay to park. If you have a reservation for horse back riding or another fort activity, you can drive right up to security and park in the main parking area. From there you can take an internal bus to nearly anywhere in the resort.
In the past security had no issues with just letting people in to look around but without a reservation for something unless you are staying there it’s a no go. Nobody is checking magic bands at the docks though on the boat from MK.
You may get some better responses though if you post your question in the camping forum. Those people over there know the Fort backwards and forwards.

No sea raycers now, according to the paperwork we were given at check-in yesterday. The bike barn is renting canoes and kayaks, and as someone mentioned the marina has guided fishing boats.

For the ranch, it's closest to the boat landing from MK. If you drive, you can park at the outpost (near check in) and take an internal bus to the settlement, which is where the ranch is. If you just want to see horses, the ride staging area is right next to the parking lot at the outpost and there are tons of horses there.

Re parking, they may not let you in without a reservation, though just doing a mobile dining order seems to usually work.
