The priority seating reservation we have is a little early for us. What are your experiences trying to get in as a walk up? Wondering if I should cancel and take my chances. Can you shop and build-a-Dino while you wait? Thanks!

I would try calling T-Rex directly and asking about a later time. I've done that when the online available times weren't what I was looking for.

I did. Unfortunately my daughter decided she wanted to eat here at the last minute. Kids! Lol!

The restaurants at DTD typically keep plenty of seating for "walk ups", BUT, you will wait, and if it's a weekend you will wait possibly an hour or two.

We recently went on a Friday and they said the wait was 110 minutes. I have the Landry's Select card so our wait was cut down to 35 mins. If you can, I recommend getting that card, you get your $25 back immediately as welcome rewards and another $25 on your birthday.

Some friends of ours tried to get in during their trip without an ADR. Three different nights, they were told it was a 2+ hour wait.

Thanks for the advice. I tried to book online and could only get 3:00 p.m. on Feb. 6th but thanks to your advice, I called and had no problem getting 5:00 p.m. for that date.

You could call and ask. I happened to sign up during my bithday month so I'm not sure. I know they will let you extend your birthday rewards, they're supposed to expire on the 15th of the month following your birthday but I called and they gave me an extra few weeks. Wouldn't hurt to ask.

No they do not. I put in the right date but wrong month and it was fine. This card is a great deal

Yes. It was nice getting $50 off our bill. Plus we had my mom with us and they take AARP cards too!

Will lunch time be as crazy? I keep meaning to call for a ressie, but our trip is a secret from the kids so it slips my mind most days since I'm hiding everything from them. I have the Landry's select card so I know that will help, but I also have a two year old who's not the most patient person in the world!

I just made my lunch reservations for 11:30am. I figure we'll explore DTD and then check in for our ressies a wee bit early. Fingers crossed it's not quite as crowded at lunch. Hopefully that will give us enough time to eat and get back to the hotel to rest for a wee bit before we head to MVMCP!

1. We are going close to my daughter's birthday, could i put the card in her name to get the birthday reward? She's going to be 7....
2. Her birthday is December 29, would the reward expire January 15 or would they give us extra time since her bday is so close to the end of the month?

We purchased ours at a Landry's restaurant and our server suggested we put a date in for the birthday that was around when we normally visit. (He said, if you normally come at this time of year then put down a date in June because we go to Landry's when we visit Myrtle Beach annually.) We do love Disney in December and knew we were going then so we booked it then. I believe that the reward is good for the month of the birthday? Don't quote me on it, but I believe that's what our server told us. HTH!
