whats the deal here, nothing on the website, nothing more than a few visuals, no points????

Where are the villas in relation to the rest of the saratoga springs?
when can you make a reservation for them?

all i do know is that SSR deeded DVCers do get home resort privileges there.

why is disney terrible at getting information on the website??

They are probably waiting on all the legal filings and for the villas to be farther along in construction.

For location:

I love the Treehouses, but they aren't really close to anything. You have to go expecting to enjoy the natural, peaceful setting. It takes a bit of a planned effort (and a bus or car) to get to anywhere else. We enjoyed the feeling of isolation, but some folks won't. The golf carts they used to make available were nice for getting to what's now DTD, but I have no idea if they'll be available for the new villas.

I wonder which resort, if any, they will share buses with? I hope not OKW, since they are legally part of SSR, and the transportation should be part of SSR dues. I know when OKW first opened, they occasionally shared buses with us, but not after OKW was finished.

Interesting question. (I remember those long OKW-DI-Treehouse bus rides.) Getting through just the Treehouses took awhile.

i hope not SSR because those buses already are notorious for taking forever! Just what they need: another stop (or two or three!)

At least three, as I recall. The Treehouses are spread WAY out lengthwise. But the stops may have changed.

how many tree houses are there
and is there a pool and restaurant going to be there too

I vote for golf carts at Treehouse Villas! :thumbsup2

We had a blast driving ours around Ft. Wilderness last year!

I'm not sure, but I think they may have to simply rehab the existing pool because they are in a watershed area and face building footprint restrictions.

There was no restaurant for the original treehouses, so I'm thinking no food service. Maybe golf carts could be rented for transportatin to/from the hospitality area of SSR. I think they will be adding a boat dock, as well, so the DVC ferry will be available for transport to/from OKW/SSR/DtD.

I don't know the layout of the golf course but you could see the old treehouses from two of the Grandstand buildings across the fairway.

For those of you that do know that course well, could they build a walkway along that fairway (across from the Grandstand buildings) and connect it to the walkway that leads to DTD Westside where the little bridge is? This would connect it to all the facilities at SSR and it wouldn't be a terrible walk to DTD, either.

60 THVs in total with each THV consisting of one 3 bedroom villa that sleeps total of 9.

There is a thread here that said paperwork/plans filed with Orange County indicates a boat dock and pool.

Re points & anticipating when reservations may be made see thread below (post #2) by Webmaster Doc.

Like Kidani Village at AKV, reservations will not be taken until DVC begins sale of points allocated* to THVs. ( *don't know if I phrased that just right)

Here's a thought:

THV will share a bus route with the Grandstand and maybe one other area, say the Carousel? CP, springs and Paddock with another route.

Or is that asking too much?

I was thinking the same thing. Splitting the bus service into 2 lines probably makes sense. Just adding to THV to the sometimes overloaded current bus line seems like a recipe for disaster! :scared1:

I think golf carts would be great too.

Sleeping in a "treehouse" and driving around in a golf cart would be an ideal vacation! Sign me up:thumbsup2

That's what we did. And it was. :thumbsup2 I'm tickled it's coming back to WDW. With carts, I hope.

Concept seems fun...Golf Carts would be an added bonus!

Congrats to SSR Members as you'll have the advantage of the 11 mos window!
