Treadmill Nirvana and other ramblings

Hey Sunny - Sorry I haven't been around lately, but just got home from our vacation.

Glad to hear that your surgery went well. I bet you were relieved that it's over. I'm sorry to hear about the problems your having with your DD. It's such a tough age and I know she'll look back on these years with major regrets. Try not to stress out too much. You don't want to ever be back where you were before, remember that.

How's the WW goal coming along? You still shooting for 160? I gained 3.8 on my cruise, so now I have 12 pounds to go to my WW goal. Better get my butt in gear :rotfl2: (that's me exercising :rotfl: )

Thanks everyone :grouphug:

Things at home are going better. We're just living "One day at a time".

I didn't lose any weight this week at WI, but TOM is right around the corner so I'm not stressing it.

Work is out of control :crazy2: I need a vacation! At the rate I'm going, I should be at WDW sooner than I expected! I'm almost 300 miles down, but the bank account is lagging. It would be great if I could actually do a December trip this year... It could be my "celebrating reaching goal" trip :goodvibes

Yesterday I ran 9 miles. Its only been 5 days since surgery but the dr said I couldn't do any damage by pushing it, so of course I did :rotfl: So far there doesn't appear to be much visual improvement from the vein closure, but most of the pain in my calf is gone. I really hope it looks better, but he didn't guarantee the bumps would go away. He said 60% of patients need no further work after closure. Not as good of odds as I would like. We'll see.

Tera: Welcome back! Don't sweat the gain (actually, yes, do sweat if off :rotfl2: ) I'll stop by and see your trip report soon. Now its straight to goal, right? :)

Sunny

Hi Sunny!

You amaze me! Did you say that you ran 9 miles?!?!?! :earseek: How are you feeling? Any pain in your leg?

I'm glad to hear that things seem to be improving at home. I think one day at a time is a good motto to keep. I'll continue praying for you and your family. :grouphug:

Have a great evening Sunny! Take care! :flower:

That is one of the most awesome NSV's I've ever heard! How cool!

I am so sorry to hear about your DD, I hope things calm down soon and she comes around. It sounds like you've done everything you can.

Glad to hear the pain in your calf if almost gone--hopefully it will all heal up perfectly and require no more work.

Have a wonderful day today!!!

Wow woman,

You certainly don't believe in giving yourself break. 9 miles 5 days post-op!?! Be sure to listen to your body. That said, yu amaze me and continue to inspire me.

Have gret weekend,
Beth

ive missed you and will check back often!

Sorry you are having to deal with the issues with your DD, Sunny! But if it is any consolation to you, I was really wild at 15 and made terrible choices too. Don't even get me started on all of the hell I put my mom through! The good news is starting around 17 I began to make GOOD decisions and have now made my mom proud. My life has turned out great so hopefully your DD will get it together too! :grouphug:

Hey Sunny!

How ya doin' girl? I hope that all is well with you and your family. Have a great weekend! :flower:

Hi Sunny~

Just stopping by to say hello! :wave2: I hope that everything is going well for you. Take care! :grouphug:

Just wanted to post on your journal that your exercise stats are AMAZING!!!! Good for you. An inspiration. I was chicken to put down 1000 minutes for this month so I put down 800, but will make it to 1000 it looks like.... so for June shall I go for 1200????? ;)

Hope things are going well.

Happy Friday :sunny:

Thank you all for your words of encouragement. DD is doing much better, except now she is sick. I had to go to a 7:30 AM post-op ultra sound, then rush DS to school, be back for a 9AM consult. Now I have a sick dr visit scheduled for DD at 3PM. I'll be having my right leg done, next. It will be more involved with a longer recovery period. Blah.

I am so happy! My Mom joined WW online back in January. Yesterday was my Dad's retirement luncheon and my Mom was able to make her 10% weightloss on Wednesday. I thought that was so great for her, 'cause I know she has been self-conscious about meeting all his colleagues, etc. A while back I found a WW 10% key chain on Ebay and bought it for her, so she got the real 10% reward just like the meeting WW-ers get :)

I took the whole day off from work and ran 14 miles in the morning before the luncheon. I was psyched! That's my longest distance yet. Then, after the luncheon we all went to see Episode 3. Were a strong Star Wars family :) I really loved the movie. But now today is a whirl wind of apts and catching up at work.

But my mood is sunny, even though we haven't seen the sun or a day above 50 degs for over a week! The weather has been downright blustery :cold:

I'm 4.8 lbs from goal, and feeling the real push to just get there and be done :moped:

My liver update: Well after 14 MORE viles of blood and more tests than I can recall, the dr can't find anything wrong. I found an article online that said strenuous exercise can cause slightly elevated liver count. Well duh, if I had known that, I wouldn't have stressed over it! So she will test again in a few weeks.

Happy Memorial Day everyone!

Sunny

Congrats to you Mom--what a sweet thing for you to do for her!

Glad to hear you enjoyed your Friday--have a great rest of the weekend!

Glad to hear that DD is doing better. Hope she is feeling better too.

Neither of my kids wants to go to Episode 3 - it's killing me... argh! My bro out in TX went 1st day with his boys, I'm so jealous...

Good luck with the other leg. And, 14 miles, you are the exercise goddess, girl, ggrreeaatt job! :cool1:

I'll catch up again soon...

Glad things are going better, Sunny! Wow...only 4.8 lbs till you are at goal! That's awesome! And I am glad to hear that your mom is doing so well too! I can't believe how cold it is where you live since the weather is in the 90s here! I would be freezing where you live since I am a southern girl at heart...lol! Hope you have a great holiday! :)

Sounds like a good weekend. Great for your mom! 10 percent is major.
I can't believe you are running so well after your surgery. Wow. You are an inspiration.
I want to go see Star Wars but my kids are too little (DS,5 has taken to sneaking into our bed at night because he is scared... so we will see) and DH is swamped right now with work so it will have to wait. I have the feeling it will remain in theatres for awhile! ;)
