Treadmill Nirvana and other ramblings

I am so glad to hear that the knee is feeling better. You are an exercise machine!! I can't believe all the hours you are putting in. The tape measure proves it though. Congrats on those measurements. You have come a LONG way.

Today is going well. I have logged 140 minutes of exercise. My all out push last week earned me a ranking of 19 out of ~1200 participants on our GetFit challenge. Yippee :cool1:

Today was lower body weights. I stepped up the glute isolator and my squat weights but that's all. Arms aren't a bit sore. Strange. Digestive "issues" continue to be a problem. I have to get through a series of IEP meetings for both kids, kids dr apts, etc. before I find the time to see my dr. But when I do go, I think I am going to request to set my WW goal to 155. That would put me at a BMI of .25 which is the top of the "normal" range. Way back before the dawn of time... I mean before motherhood, I had dieted down to 140 lbs and I was wearing a size 6. So now, add all the muscle and I just don't see myself getting to 145. We'll see.

I had a good run on the treadie. I set out to do 60 minutes at 6.2 mph but developed a terrible side cramp around 48 minutes (5 miles) so cut the run short. But after walking a bit I did two tiny sprints at 6.7 mph. One for 3 minutes and one for 90 seconds. I can't wait to make that "my" pace! Then 20 minutes on the recumbent bike at a snails pace (just enough energy to qualify as exercise minutes).


Food's OP but I'm using more fruits and than veggies do to my tummy troubles. The 4 lb whoosh held again this morning! I'm still not convinced, though.

I hope you can find the time to get to your doctor soon. It doesn't seem to make much sense that you suddenly have problems with the fruit and veggies after almost 6 months....??? :confused3 We gotta get that cleared up before the summer season when everything is fresh and yummy!!! :teeth:

I started the "Walking to Disney" challenge last night! Now I am totally psyched about this. I looked up the directions and total miles from my front door to the Poly-- 1235.88 miles. I stayed on the treadmill last night for 95 minutes, earning 8.87 miles towards my run. (Actually I'm running to Disney). I'm only going to count running towards my distance, not bike, elliptical, etc. I am going to put $2 per mile in my money market account so that when I arrive virtually, I'll have enough money to go really! So I am currently on Rt 128 (I-95), I should make it to the Mass Pike tonight at the gym :rotfl2: Oh this is just the sort of thing I needed to motivate me :rotfl:

I am so psyched about this running to disney. I stayed on the treadie for 100 minutes tonight! I did 9.65 miles in 100 minutes, mostly running 6.0 mph but some slower as I got exhausted. I also did 20 minutes elliptical.

So I am now well on my way down the Pike (the Mass Pike that is). Did you see Goodwill Hunting? That final driving scene is the Mass Pike, that's where I am running for the next couple of weeks :rotfl2:

I now owe the bank $38 dollars :goodvibes

I go to run outdoors yesterday :cool1: We also took DS to Horn Pond and walked around. DS and I ran a fair bit of it and then when he peetered out, I carried him piggy back. It was a good reminder as he weighs the same amount as I have lost with WW since Sept (~50 lbs). I'm glad I'm not carrying all the weight anymore!

I also did boot camp again:

Squats 100
Lunges 100
ball crunches 100
reverse curls 100
Hundred 100
Round House kicks 100
front/back kicks 100
pushups 100
Roll ups (crunches) 100

I did TaeBo at 10 PM. DD and I went out to eat and I ordered Top Sirloin with baked potatoe and butternut squash. I ate half of my meat, 3/4 of the potate and most of the squash. I figured it was about 14 points from Dotti's website listing. That is a successful restaurant trip for me! I didn't inhale the whole thing!!!!!

Well, I better get my but in gear and get off to church!
