Treadmill Nirvana and other ramblings

Hey Sunny!

You are doing such a great job! Don't you just love the running/walking to Disney idea? :goodvibes It is really helping to motivate me even though the weather hasn't cooperated for me to walk/run yet. (We don't have a treadmill either.) I figure I will either walk/run my way to Disney or exercise my way to Disney. Either way, it's a win-win, right? :teeth:

Have a great day tomorrow! :sunny:

Absolutely! Tracy, aren't you the one with the nifty exercise to Disney miles formula? I think that's a great idea ::yes::

Holy cow thats alot of running. I would need a hip replacement if I went that far. How far did you start out at in the beginning and how did you move it up to that much? Have a great one.

Kristin

Kristin,

I started walking about 4 years ago. After my second pregnancy (2000) I had gained alot of weight from 8 weeks of bedrest. When I first started walking again I could barely do 30 minutes at 3.0 mph (1.5 miles). After about 6 months or so I was upto 10 and 20 minute jogs at 4.5 mph and long walks (~5 miles or so). It just keeps creeping up! :goodvibes

So far today I've done lower body weights. I hope to get some more Disney miles in afterwork :Pinkbounc I can't wait to cross the state line!

I just added 6.3 miles in 65 minutes to my Disney miles. I also did 20 minutes StairMaster. I didn't have time to stretch and I definitely feel it now! Food is OP  That's my biggest challenge.

Hi Sunny,

I was on bedrest with Katie too. It really does pack on the pounds.

The walk to Disney seems to really have motivted you. I think it is great. You will always be a workout queen.

Take care,
Beth

Wow Sunny!!! :cool1: You are putting in some exercise...gotta get rid of those donuts! :teeth: You are so amazing!! You just stay so positive. Enjoy your weekend and Easter!!

Gail

Happy Easter Sunny! :grouphug:

Like I said, you are my exercize idol! :cool1:

Good morning O' Queen of the Workout!!!! I hope you have a great day! :cool1:

Hello :)

Easter was very nice. My mom started WW a couple of months ago and she served a totally WW-friendly dinner! I was delighted. I over indulged in Easter candy at home, though. My WW WI showed it, too. I was only down .6 lbs. At this rate is should take me, oh say, THREE YEARS to reach goal! But I guess as long as I'm not going up, I should be happy.

I am happy to announce I have crossed the state line! I am now in Connecticut on my Run to Disney :cool1: The weather has permitted a few outdoor runs, oooooh that is soooo nice. I am now on my way to the gym. Today is rainy and cold. But at least its not SNOW!!!!!!!!!

Happy Monday Everyone :flower:

Sunny

Suuny! You are doing so great!!! Congrats in making it into CT!!! That is awesome!!!! :cool1:

You ARE going to reach your goal! If you keep up the workouts, there is no way it will take you 3 years!

What a great way to build endurance. You are always inspiring!!! Thanks you!

Way to go Sunny!

You are well on your way to WDW! :Pinkbounc I'm still here in Ohio, but I am working on getting to West Virginia. :goodvibes

Keep up the good work and have a wonderful Tuesday! :flower:

Happy Tuesday!

That's so cool that you got a WW Easter dinner!

Hope you enjoy the great state of CT. Even if it takes 3 years to get where you want to be, they'll be some of the best 3 years of your life! You're doing great!!!

A WW easter dinner...sounds yummy!! So nice to know you could eat and not feel guilty!

Way to go with your running...you'll be in Disney in no time! Enjoy the scenery. :goodvibes

You are doing amazing with you weight loss..you're still going in the downward direction...and you look awesome! You'll get to your goal weight!

Have a great one!

Gail

Thanks everyone for such great encouragement :goodvibes

Today was great. Food is totally OP and I got in two workouts. Fifty minutes at lunchtime for killer upper body weights and abs and then 100 minutes afterwork for treadmill and stretching. I ran 8.61 miles in 92 minutes. Its hard to force myself to cross-train now that I am trying to rack up Disney miles! This is the last week of our GetFit challenge so I will definitely be tapering a little come next week!

My size 10 jeans are starting to feel a tiny bit loose  Good thing that are plenty of rewards outside of that stupid scale :rotfl:

Sunny

Hi Sunny,

You are doing an amazing job. Your Disney run is progressing at an amazing rate. I know the scale isn't cooperating, but eventually it will. You WILL reach your goal, and inspire us all along the way.

Take care,
Beth

WOW Sunny! You are amazing!!! :cool1: I am so proud ofyou and your progress!!!

You are making great progress. I know I hate the scale as well. Your size 10's are starting to feeling loose? That is great!!!! Have a good day. :goodvibes
