I searched this forum and did not see a similar thread. Please excuse if this is a duplicate. Travelocity has std. rooms at CBR and POFQ for $73 weekday and $78 weekend. Dates are 8/15-9/30
I tried numerous dates within the 8/15-9/30 time frame and found plenty of availability. Hope this helps someone.

I was just coming to post the same thing, nousesavers posted this on facebook today:

Booking Through Travelocity

When discounted room-only rates are offered to the general public, the same rates that are offered through other travel agencies (and directly by Disney) are usually also available online through Travelocity. The discounted rates are listed as "promotional rates" or are given special names such as "Magical Fall Rates."

Generally speaking you're better off to book through a Disney Specialist travel agent, because Travelocity almost never offers a deal that other travel agencies can't duplicate, and Travelocity has rules and requirements that can be confusing. Be sure to read ALL the small print as you make your reservation (which may require you to click on a link that says "terms and conditions" or something similar) so that you are clear on any cancellation and change fees.

Right now Travelocity is actually offering lower rates than Disney at two of Disney's Moderate hotels - over 50% off!

Caribbean Beach and Port Orleans - French Quarter are available on select nights between 8/15/10-9/30/10 at $73/night (weeknights) or $78 (weekends) for a standard room!

Regular rates during that time period are $149 weekdays/$159 weekends. Other room types (King Bed, Water View, Pirate Room) also available on some dates at steep discounts. Not all dates in that time period are included at the lower rates. Click on the links above to book, and pick the "Check Rates" tab to see which dates are available.

Sounds like its a good deal but be careful of thier rules/restrictions

Yeah I just booked labor day weekend at CBR for only $170! Saturday and Sunday night. And I grabbed restaurant.com certs for bluezoo and Il Mulino (have wanted to try those but usually we do the dining plan)

Can't wait - this is a GREAT deal

We booked CBR once before at $99 a night which was great and were excited to try it but got bumped to the contemporary

The horror of being bumped to the contemporary! :) We are going in December, but I already requested off the last week of August so looks like I will be spending it in Disney!

and if you look at the sidebar on the site, SSR is 108 per night! I've never booked through Travelosity, not sure of cancellation etc.

LOL and they screwed up and wanted to give us 3 nights (with deluxe dining) when we'd only booked and paid for one. Too bad it was a weekend and we had to be back to work on Monday ;)

:confused3
Anyone know when this rate is good until. We may want to book but need to find better airfare... I do not want to miss out though!

I don't know... but I am booked for August 28 - September 1 at CBR for a total of $881 including airfare for 3 people. We will be seeing Yo Gabba Gabba that day so we will head to the airport right after. We already have 4 days left on non-expiring tickets so we just need to spend money on food when we get there!

We also bought tickets for Yo Gabba Gabba, but, it's for October 29. I didn't know that they were going to be in Orlando in August too! I can't find any info for the concert in August, is it at the Silver Oak arena? Sorry for hijacking the thread.

Thanks!

nooo... in our area, DC/Northern VA :( Sorry! so we go the airport after the show.

I had 3 nights booked through Disney. I called to see if they would match the price that Travelocity was offering and was told no. I booked with Travelocity, then cancelled with Disney.

Oh, no wonder I couldn't find any information. It's ok it gives us an excuse to come back to Disney in October. We are hoping that Travelocity also offers a great rate for our trip.

My husband I just just booked POFQ for four days in September through Travelocity. This is a last-minute anniversary trip. We will not do parks this time, just enjoy the hotel, swim, boat, golf, and of course eat! The rate we got was 30% off the summer special room only rates ($74/night vs. $104/night), which was great. In addition, airfares suddenly dropped by nearly $100! yay! So excited to take advantage of this great deal! :cheer2:

Just logged on and noticed the prices are up to $109. :cool1: for those of us who got it while it was good

Yes, I think they had all ranges of the moderates and most likely soldout of the standard view. You were very lucky. That was a great rate, a rate for mods that I haven't seen in quite a few years!

For anyone who has ever booked through Travelocity, once Disney gets your reservation, about 10 days out, have you been able to do the online check in?

Also I noticed that they did not ask for our names for the KTTW and what not. Could/Should I give Travelocity that info to forward over to them with our reservations? I would hate to not have everything ready to go the day of arrival.

One last issue. We had originally scheduled for 2 adults and 2 children, but it is looking like it will now be 3 adults and 1 child, which means an extra charge. Which is fine. Should I take care of this through Travelocity or Disney? I am afraid if I do it through Travelocity, that they will null and void my trip.

I think I can answer part of your question....

I do not know about online check-in or KTW card, but after I booked through Travelocity, I was send a confirmation email from them which included a link to Magical Express information. This was a Disney link, so I know they have the information for all guests there at least. Our trip is in mid-September and I would be happy to share my experience with checking (online or otherwise) once we travel down there.

In terms of changing your reservation, I would call Travelocity. I have read on other threads that Disney does not obtain reservations from Travelocity until 10 days prior to arrival. Any changes should be made with Travelocity ahead of time.

I hope this helps... You might try posting the online check-in question on the main resort board. Maybe someone else can help. :confused3
