I'll be travelling with a 5 yo and a 6yo this November. What should I plan on to bring for their ID?

I didnt think you needed id for children. When I fly out with my son 12 he never takes id. Never asked for it

Unless you are using a youth fare, you will not need any ID for the kids

A parent.

You don't even need that! We have taken our niece several times (she has a different last name) and we have never been asked for an ID for her!

We just flew with our DGS and were not asked for an ID or permission for him to travel with us. We had his birth certificate and a notarized letter from his parents, but weren't asked for either one.
