traveling with multiples!!

Just thought that we should say HI!!

We will be travelling to the world very soon and thought that this would be a great place to ask about airline travel and car seats

We used our car seats on the plane last time we travelled, but we were debating using them this time. Especially since we don't plan to rent a van this trip and use the Disney Bus service, and I don't believe that you can use them on the bus anyways.

Any opinions!?

If you're not renting a car and would only use them on the plane? Don't bring them. Even though we sometimes bring the car seats (i.e. when we stay off property and DO rent a car), we don't bring them on the plane any more. The kids do fine with the seat belts....

I wouldn't take the car seats if you're not renting a car. We are going to WDW in January and using Magical Express, so we aren't taking car seats either.

We just went on a cruise in Sept. It was our first vacation with the twins with no car seats, no stroller, and no diaper bag. Now THAT was a very freeing experience.

We took our first family trip to Disney when the twins where 4 months old. We drove down (24hrs) and we had a blast... We did everything we wanted to do and we didn't miss anything.

I always take my kids everywhere so they're very good when travelling.

We've been going back every year since. Our next trip is Feb 29 to March 8 2008. It's gonna be the twins 4th visit to Disney and they're only 3!!!

This time I'll be going without hubby (he's disneyed-out and has to work) so I'm taking all 4 kids myself... no, I'm not nuts!!! Just a Disney fan!!! My friend decided to come with so we'll be 2 adults for 6 kids... we'll be fine..

Martine: Welcome and Good for you. I did lots of things with my 4 children sans DH because he traveled for work and was gone a lot. Some days I wish I could go back and re-live those experiences again. Are you driving down again? I'm sure you and friend will have a great time.

Good choice. Driving for 24 hours makes for a long trip but the worst part is when you arrive (exhausted) and the kids are wired and ready to go. Been there, done that! SO much easier to fly and get there feeling ready to take on the world.

Welcome Miztigg! I see you leave in Maple Shade. DH and I lived in Mount Laurel when I was in law school. We're still in NJ but back by our families at the beach in Monmouth/Ocean counties.

I am so excited - we are finally planning our frist trip. We are going to take the twins in October when they'll be a little over 16 months! Can't wait...now for the planning.

We took our 2 year old twins last October and had a great time. I was a little worried that they wouldn't get that much out of it being that young, but they absolutely loved it and talk about Disney all the time. We are going to go back next October..cant wait!!

We're all doing well here - not much snow/snowdays yet in NJ but we're getting by....
Actually I've been spending ALOT of time on these boards lately because I'm getting ready to book our first cruise - DH has at last agreed with me that it is time! So I've been on the DCL threads almost every night for the past week and a half! I'm going to try and attend the virtual DCL house party Sat night just to see if I get any more info but by this time next week I hope to be booked!
