Hi!! It's been awhile since I checked in and have a quick question.

Have any of you brought 14 month old twins to WDW? What was your experience? We have a 7 year old that has only been to Disney once when he was 4......want to bring him back again before he outgrows the childhood excitement! Thanks!

OH my gosh tomorrow marks the 21 day mark for us till we go to WDW and DCL!!!!!!!

Hope everyone else is doing well!!!!!!!!!!!

Kristen, I have a 2006 Disney Cruise Line large photo album that I never used. If you want it, I'd be happy to send it to you, PM me your address. You must be getting so excited!! :wizard:

Here's a bump for you, hope someone can answer your question!

I am starting a new venture to make my life more hectic. I am becoming a pampered chef consultant if anyone wants to order anything!! I'm hoping to earn a little extra $ for our cruise and some spending money. Hope it goes ok! Guess we will find out soon enough! :)

I am new and joined because of this thread. I have b/g twins who are almost 3 and a 8 1/2 year old. I took my twins for the first time 2 years ago when they were 14 months and my oldest was 6. We had a fabulous time. The twins loved it - old enough to love the sights but not old enough to be afraid of anything. We are going back in 53 days (not that I'm counting). I think they will get into it more this time. They already talk about taking a big airplane to see Mickey.

Hi jlstwinmommy! Welcome!!

Sounds like we're leaving at the same time?! We leave on November 25. :thumbsup2

We leave November 24th, but our first day at Disney is the 26th. My DH says if we are going to Florida, he wants to see something other than just Disney. He's not the Disney fanatic that I am. ;)

We will arrive the afternoon of the 26th (we have about an 18 hour drive :car: ) and will spend that day in Downtown Disney but then hit the parks on the 27th. We'll be at MVMCP on November 30, I can't wait for that!! :goofy:

We drove last time we went. We actually drove down and took the train back. I like it, my my dh said he didn't sleep well on the train. I just don't look forward to lugging 2 preschoolers, a double stroller, 2 carseats and lugguge through an airport.

On another note, I'm not sure what we are going to do with the twins for sleeping accomadations. We are staying in a timeshare (thanks to my mom) so we have 2 bedrooms (3 beds and a pull out sofa), but the twins sleep in kind of a converted crib now (with side rails so they don't fall). I tried having them sleep in a double bed once this summer when we went on a small weekend trip and I spent the entire night waking up and moving them back to the middle of the bed. I don't know if I should just get them pack-n-plays or try to see if we can get bed rails for the bed or what. When my older son was 3, we just put him in the middle of a double bed and he was fine - never moved enough to get close to falling off the bed. Two of them is so different. Anyone have any tips with 2 three-year-olds?

We will be there on the 28th..

I used beds for my kids at this age!!!!!

On our last two trips what we ended up doing was getting extra pillows, stuffing them under the fitted sheets at the edge of the bed, and that ended up being the "rail" to help the twins so they wouldn't fall out of bed.

Hi! Just thought I'd drop in and introduce myself. I'm Natalie, a MOM to Chase (7) and Audrey and Austin (4.5). My husband and I are planning our first trip to WDW for March of 07. (who am I kidding, I'm planning our first trip, he just asks when and where)

We have a motorhome and will be making the 17 or so hour drive to Fort Wilderness for 8 nights starting March 9th. I am nearly beside myself with excitement about this trip. I am a SAHM and it has taken us almost two years to save the money for this trip. The best part is that the kids have absolutely no idea we are going. I'm hoping to to keep the secret until the very last minute.

We will be getting the kids up very early on Thurs, the 8th, to leave. I can't decide how to spring the surprise. Any suggestions? The night before? That morning? Wait until we are on the road?

Very exciting, mousketeer_mom!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Last year we surprised our twins on their 8th birthday by picking them up from school and having them read a poem (in Disney font) that explained the surprise. The laughter and squeals of delight were really something. My DD said to me on the flight that afternoon, "Mom, am I dreaming? Because I just can't believe we're going to Disney"!! :cloud9: Maybe something that your 7 year old can read to the twins, or little gifts to open that hint at where you're going, given at specific points along the way?? You have to let us know how it goes!

We're getting excited for our trip too. We have a fun night planned for their 9th birthday, and built in some days for just relaxing. :wizard:

That's a good idea. When we go my twins will be two and I am worried about them falling out of bed because they are major movers when they sleep. You can also request bedrails for the beds through Disney. Let me know how it all works!!

Anyone know if the ship has cribs/pack n plays?

When we were on the Magic and Wonder we had the pack and plays. When we went with the twins we ended up getting two rooms and there was a pack and play in each of the rooms. I can't imagine fitting two pack and plays in one room as it took up most of the extra floor space unless you have one of the larger room (we always get the smallest/most economical ones).

They did have a bedrail on the sofa bed which we used for our older son.

WELCOME. What about decorating your motor home in Disney stuff and not letting them in the motor home until you are ready to pop the surprise (like when you get them up that morning). I could never keep the surpise a secret but a lot of people do it and it is fun. Our first family trip to Disney World was in a pop up camper at Ft. Wilderness. It is a fantastic campground resort. Lots of fun. Have a great time planning for it!
