traveling with multiples!!

have any of you guys shipped a box to your hotel b4 leaving home? i have a suitcase packed full of snacks and juice and paper plates, etc. but would to mail it instead of hualing it to the airport.
any ideas

Hello!!! My hubby works for FedEx so we FedEx ALL our luggage to the hotel, it was GREAT!!! No waiting at the airport, no lugging at all.. It was the best!! And it was in our hotel room when we got there! If you can find a good rate to send it I would do it!!! You will do everything next time!! :woohoo:
I would just call the hotel ahead of time and check to see what they do with luggage/packages that come in ahead of time, some hotels will not accept it unless you are checked in. Go for it!!! :goodvibes

thanks so much. i can handle the other luggage but having that snack suitcase was putting in stress mode!!

Ahhh climbing out of the cribs! My son will go for weeks without doing it, then it is NON-STOP!! So he has been at it for a week so far, he goes right into his sisters crib!!! Aghghhgh!! They are 2 years old, how old are yours? I really do not want to move them into the toddler beds yet!!

Mine are 21 months. Only one knows how to climb out -- but he still doesn't know how to climb back! I also want to keep them in cribs as long as possible - the idea of them in toddler beds and getting out and running around and us trying to keep them in bed is frightening. :scared1:

Hi to all our new families

my guys started climbing out at around 22 months. We did get crib tents and that worked for around another 6/7 months

just a warning...

we got crib tents once i noticed that my girls could get 1 leg up onto the top of the crib rail(it was a "safety precaution"...please read on to see the irony in this purchase). they had never tried to actually climb out, so i didn't always zip the crib tents completely (i got a bit too overconfident). on the day that my 2 1/2 y.o. daughter DID decide to unzip the crib tent and get out of her crib, she did it with flair...she apparently JUMPED out, which caused her little arm bone to break when she hit the floor :guilty:

we, obviously, immediately move to toddler beds..we splurged on the little tikes car beds (so i didn't have to worry about them breaking the beds, or moving them, or what happened if all 3 decided they wanted to sleep together, etc) and cleared out EVERYTHING else in the room and babyproofed the outlets, windows, and closet door. we also replaced one of their overhead lightbulbs (on a dimmer switch) with a blue bulb and used that as their nightlight. AND we put a doorknob cover over the knob on the inside of the room so they could not open it...trying to get them to sleep became a disaster, but at least they were safe in there!!!

good luck!

AGHGHH!!! Poor little thing!!! :guilty:
That is what I am sooo afraid of, one of them getting very hurt. So far just my son does the deed, my one daughter has tried a few times but nothing like the "BOY" LOL!! My other daughter has yet to try, ( she is the one I am afraid will get hurt) she is not ummm well she is not very graceful! LOL. :rolleyes1
They just turned 2 in Jan. do you think it is to early? I hate to move the girls into toddler beds to. AGHGHGHG!! What to do!!!
Maybe this weekend we will go the toddler beds. Everything is already outta the room outlets are covered, closet is locked. I will just have to look into window stuff. :guilty: What happened to my tiny little babies!!!

OK.. I know I have sorta asked this already..BUT would you be able to fit 3 kids in the double rental stroller? They are 2 years old.
We are THINKING of the double rental when we are in one park.
How are the seatbelts in them? Are they sorta comfortable? ( I know none of you jumped in to check, or did you?LOL)
Sorry I know I have asked this sorta of a way before. Thank you sooo much!! :thumbsup2

According to my dd it is one big seat belt. She and her twin shared one when they were 8, so I think you should be able to put three 2 yr olds in one.

Hi Everyone,

Jsut checking in.. How is everyone doing????

Hi Everyone,

Jsut checking in.. How is everyone doing????

Well - we finally got some good news and found out my grandfather does NOT have cancer, so now we are free to book our cruise this summer. Unfortunately, the week I was planning to go (the week before school starts) is now pretty booked up unless I want to pay a small fortune for a suite. So, it looks like we may go the 2nd week in September where I can actually afford to get a family suite to share with my parents. The suite that week is cheaper then what it was going to cost us to go the August week in a regular balcony. I'm waiting for my mom to get back from a business trip and then I think we'll book it. :cool1: I really wasn't going to take my oldest out of school next year, but what can you do? My grandfather really wants to take this trip with the whole family so I guess we'll deal with another year of making up homework for a week. It will be the twins first cruise. Now I just need to get twin A potty trained. Boys are such a pain in that department. :confused3

Hello everyone. All is pretty good with my family. We have 2 months until our trip to Mexico for my daughters wedding. I spent the last 3 days dealing with the travel agent and funjet. Funjet had decided to change all of the dates of our trip for 16 of us last October and they didn't bother to let any of us or the travel agent know. Talk about STRESS!!!! We didn't find out about it until I went in to make the final payment. By the time we had it straightened out today the travel agent was offering me a job! HA HA! Sure wish I could afford to give up my decent pay and benefits and move to the travel agency...that is my passion!

Hope all of you aren't having nearly as stressful of a week! Is anybody getting ready to leave for Disney World soon? I convinced a co-worker to go to the Magic Kingdom for a day while they were on spring break in Orlando. She thought her kids would be too old at 8 and 12. She ended up not liking Universal and LOVING Disney World. They spent 2 days instead of just the 1 they had planned! I'm so glad they enjoyed it. But WE all know where the Magic lives don't we!!!

Have a good week!

Hi everyone! Started a 10 week consulting job today so things around here have been nuts! Twins are turning 13 next week while we're in Hawaii!!! I can't believe how the time flies! Can't wait to escape for awhile. Homework this year has been a nightmare. It will be nice to finally have some down time.

Kind of bummed we're not doing WDW, but we'll be there in June for my b-day and the 4th of July. My youngest dd is ticked that we're never any place fun for her b-day.

Hope everyone is well and that Spring has finally arrived in your neck of the woods.

Checking in and saying hi:wave2:

Have any of you done DCL? If so, tell me about your experience - did you like it? did your kids like it? how old were the kids when you took them? would you go again?

I am thinking about 5 days at WDW followed by a 3 or 4 night cruise for our first trip with the trio.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

We did a Halloween cruise last year. The kids loved it they were four years old.

We loved the whole cruising thing...The kids were not thrilled about the club they wanted to be with us and in the pool with their friends...

The islands were great..

Other questions ask away....

My cruise report should be in these pages somewhere....

would love to her what eveyone says. We are scheduled for a 7 night in Sept with our girls. First DCL and we are soooo excited.
