TWO WEEKS!!! That's when we'll be there!!! YAY!!!

I'm starting to think about what I'm going to have shipped to the resort... water, Gatorade, granola bars... then there is my finicky niece.

Are there toasters in the Caribbean Beach rooms? If so, she'll have English Muffins before we leave for the parks in the morning. Otherwise, she requested French Vanilla muffins... not finding those anywhere.

TIA!

No toasters in the rooms. Food courts have them, but with the construction at CB, I'm not sure. Hopefully someone else knows.

There are no toasters in the rooms there. Will she eat them untoasted? I have weird (and easy to feed) kids and they would eat them (same with bagels) untoasted.

Can you buy the French Vanilla muffins and either ship them in or pack them in your suitcase? I have no idea what French Vanilla muffins are so not sure if that is possible.

I was thinking about having her dad pack them for her. Lol

She won't eat peanut butter. I could send her to the food court to toast an English muffin if that would work.

I told my mom that I could ship aluminum foil and we can toast them with the iron. That is a joke. Please don't think I'd do that.

Normally this would work. However, since the food court at CBR is not really operational, I'm not sure about toaster availability. I'm guessing you could post over on the CBR thread and get some assistance from those who know the current situation there.

So, the resort board recommended bringing a toaster with us. I found one on Amazon for $12.99, shipped. I will order that and if we don't have room to bring it home, I'll leave it behind.

Thanks for your advice everyone!

It is against hotel fire codes to use a toaster, please don’t.

This is an often debated topic on here. I have no skin in the game as I'm not going to bother dragging an appliance to WDW, but I question whether it's really addressed in the fire code, so I looked: http://www.nfpa.org/codes-and-stand...rds/codes-and-standards/free-access?mode=view and as far as I can see, toasters (or slow cookers or microwaves or any other small kitchen appliances) are not addressed by FL fire code. (If I missed it, can someone please point me to reference?)

That doesn't mean that the hotels actually allow them. Their insurance may restrict them. But as far as I can see, they aren't actually forbidden by fire code.

If you want to bring a toaster you should ask yourself the following questions:

  • Would you feel comfortable being kicked out of your resort mid-trip because you set off the fire alarm system?
  • Would you feel comfortable shouldering the cost of emergency response if something went wrong?
  • Would you feel badly disturbing other guests were an alarm to be set off because of your need for toast?

Sounds like her dad will be sending French vanilla muffins in her backpack.

Only place I know with premade french vanilla muffins is Wegman's - if you need to find them:)...but it seems like there are no Wegman's in Florida, so yeah, her bringing them is the best plan:)...

That's where her father shops, so it's probably Wegman's. I'll tell him that he has to pack his DD's breakfast preference. I'll ship everything else.
