Morning all!
Michelle, absolutely, anything you can find out about photopass and carrying on liquids... I'd love to hear. That's good to know about the changes they've made. I'd hate to get there with a case of water, expect it to be delivered to the room and end up carrying it for a few hours. Guess I need to go and find my little collapsible cooler. Do you have pictures from your party? I'd love to see your Redneck costumes. Sounds like a lot of fun!

Michelle - by any chance are your friends from "Poke" county?Though there are many stereotypical redneck towns in the area, Lakeland is what first comes to mind in your area.

Nope cow country (or as my husband calls them happy meals) St. Cloud, FL in Osceola County.
Sorry to post this here, it has nothing to do with the cruise.
We are buying a digital camera for MIL for christmas. She still has her 35mm film camera from 1984 and its just time to move on. She is technologically chalanged. Any advice for a very simple digital? The software it comes with is most likely the trick. SHe just needs to be able to hit a few comands and the pictures show up on the computer. I was looking at the Canon a590 is.
Any advice is appreciated.
As for the software to download it my mom is very tecnologically challenged and she finds it easy to use. We got her a card reader so she did not need to connect to the camera to the computer. She just puts the card in clicks the cannon software and she previews to choose view then download. That way she just checks the photos she wants and saves them to the computer. Now a few times she has forgotten where she saves them to, but that is purely user error. goodluck with your camera hunt.
You may want to wait until you are on the ship....i know they sometimes have great sales and no tax. Of course if you want a service plan then the ship would not be the way to go.
I just had to post and realize that no one is really going to care, but I actually got my research paper done early! It was due on November 17th, and I didn't want to stress about it while I was also stressing about being prepared for the trip, so I actually got it finished today. That's a record for me because I'm the queen of procrastination normally.

You got the shell part right, but the inside is nothing more than a big snail. Its kind of like eating a big piece of chewy meat with little taste. Thats where the fritter part comes in, then they taste awesome. Plus you get the souvenir shell (just kidding about the souvenir shell, dont want to start a war with the wait staff at margaritaville)Ken - I love clams. Is conch the stuff that comes from the big shell you hold up to your ear to hear the ocean? Like the shell headed guy that kept having his head knocked off in the Pirates movies? Do they have legs? Do they look like hermit crabs?
I love those moments like you had today. It's so close!!!
I just watched the entire DCL video. I viewed the menus, toured the kids clubs, looked at appropriate dress in the restaurants and went on all of the excursions they showed. What a great trip!
I went to the drug store and bought some meds, toothpaste and shampoo for the trip. I've been doing laundry and a little cleaning all day. Tonight I relax.

Susan,
Congrats on finishing your paper!!! I am sure that is a load off. You certainly are productive.
I spent the entire afternoon responding to student emails and phone calls. Once Nov. 1 hit I have to start logging extra hours each week to make up for the week I am gone for the virtual classroom.
Ken,
Your milk thing cracked me up. You are so funny....now I am going to find me some Milk like that just for fun.
Off to make some dinner.
Michelle - I thought the same thing. I'm going to the store tomorrow and find milk with an expiration date after the 21st!
I have been so bad this weekend. I ate 2 full sized Milky Ways last night. It's the first time I've had a candy bar since February. They were so good it's indescribable. When did they change the formula? There's now 45% more caramel and I swear there's more chocolate too. Then DH went to the store today and bought 6 Russell Stover caramel and chocolate pumpkins! I'm staying upstairs in the office so I'm not tempted! It's back to serious business tomorrow and counting all of my points. No cheating!
Ken - I was with you on the conch fritters until you called them a snail!
Susan - You inspired me to watch the DCL video! I'll watch one of the Travel Channel ones tomorrow on the bus.
Judy,
You have to give them a chance!! Those poor little guys, thats all they have to look forward to, being a conch fritter . . . . the life of a snail, can you only imagine.
