Traveling to Philly next week

Hi I am traveling north from Daytona Beach next week to Philly. Does anyone know of any traffic problems, construction and the like, that I need to be aware of. We are planning on traveling from 6:00 pm to 9:00 am on Wed. the 16th. We are coming home Sat. I know it will be cold by Fl. standards. I just want to know of any spots that we might want to look out for. Thanks.

The entire stretch of I-95 from Richmond on up to Philly is a nightmare. I drive home to the suburbs of Philly on a semi-regular basis and there's never a time when there isn't gridlock or a bad accident causing the closure of 2 or more lanes.

A new Woodrow Wilson bridge is being constructed and it's said to be one of the busiest contruction sites in the country at the moment, employing over a thousand construction workers!

Just grin and bare it, there's really nothing more you can do execpt to take a detour that'll tack on an extra hour of travel time (I'm referring to 301.)

Route 95. If it ever DOESN'T have a problem, that would be a miracle... always construction or major accidents.... even at midnite it can be quite congested due to construction.

Yep, and then people get off the highway and drive on Rte. 1 thinking they can escape the traffic! Wrong! Then Rte. 1 gets backed up.

There's no escaping the madness!

Thanks tell me more about 301. I have never traveled up north by myself. I have been to DC and Delware as a teenager. DC as a fifth grader. Finally Fort Indian Town Gap as an adult. So any and all tips are greatly appreciated. I did learn to drive in Atlanta so I am sure that will be helpful. Is there any good places to stop for coffee and gas. Also Waffle House does anyone know where they end. I love their coffee lol. Thanks so much!!
