Traveling at the end of June

2 years ago we went at the end of June and the weather was awful. It tends to rain there almost everyday in the summer for at least a few minutes but the rain we recieved that week was tremendous. I heard someone say that it was the most rain they had in 150 years. I have now made reservations again at the end of June and wondering if it just normally rains a lot more in this month as opposed to July and August. Anyone had any good experiances with the weather in June?

We went during the last week of June last year. It was HOT- high 90's every day and only rained once while we were there.

We always go the last week in June/first week in July. A few tips for making the most of that time:
prepare for a "park clearer" rain shower each day. Stock up on ponchos at your Dollar Store--most have 2/$1 and you can get non-Disney colors to be more visible as a family. Wear shoes that will easily dry out and/or won't feel yucky if they get major wet. Change out your ponchos a few times during the trip, rather than try to make one last...
Our family looks at these showers as a time when the non-prepared families exit the park, so we can run around and make the most of our time. I hook a plastic bag on my fanny pack belt and then roll up the ponchos in them to carry around. Honestly, they don't weigh much and it's so much handier in case you need them. If you buy something at a Park, have it delivered to the front or to your resort. It's very hot those weeks and we don't like to drag around any more than we have to.

Mom: get an easy hair do that can go wet/dry or have a baseball cap handy for those bad hair stretches during the day when you may get wet unexpectedly.
We LOVE going in the summer; and so it seems, do thousands of others....just be prepared and you'll be fine.

Good idea! Thanks for for the responses. It is just worrisome to pay all that money then end up only getting to half what you wanted to do due to bad weather.
