This will be the first time any of us have flown. We are on the West Coast, so a flight will takes us about 8 hours & then another hour plus to get to the resort (plus 3 hours time difference). So even if we get the first flight out at about 6 am we will not get to WDW before 6 - 7 pm. So I am thinking about maybe a late night flight, to get us there late morning/early afternoon. So do you think it is a good idea to fly at night for a first time fly, kids will be 9.5 and 11.92. I figured none of us are going to be sleeping much that night anyway so...

any advice input etc??

I think the night flight sounds like a good idea. You're right, if your flight leaves at 6 am that means getting to the airport about 4 am - you're already not sleeping most of that night. If you could get a late flight around midnight, maybe you would sleep on the plane (if you're like us, you'll be exhausted by the time you get out of the house!), making the long flight a little easier for the kids. If you arrive by lunch time you have time for the pool, a nap and maybe a park or DD in the evening - or, if you all slept on the plane, a park, then the pool. We only fly 6 AM because we're there in 3 hours and have no time changes to go through- still need some down time that afternoon, though - traveling really tires the kids out!
