Hello, We are going to be staying at CSR at the end of October. I'd like to avoid renting a car of possible. I know they have good bus service to all of the parks but how difficult is it to travel to other resorts for meals and such? Thanks!

Not hard at all you just get on that resorts bus or onto the resort monorail ! Just allow up to 45 min incase there is a wait or some type of problem! You probably will not need that much time but I'd rather gamble being early then late! odds are you may get seated sooner or you get to check out the resort! What resorts do you have to goto?
I'm sorry I messed up it's still not hard but you have to be at a park to get to another resorts bus!

Thanks! I know we want to make ADR's for 1900 Park Fare and Chef Mickey's so CR and GF. Maybe Ohana as well. My kids are little so I think we're going to do as many character meals as possible if we get the DDP.

You can't travel from resort to resort, but there isn't a problem to get from a park to any of the resorts by bus, monorail, and I think even the boats, I could be wrong about the boats. We had no problem with this at all when we were in "The World" last May. We had a blast traveling to all the resorts from the parks when we had ADR's to meet. It was part of the thrill of the trip for us. Enjoy your trip and if you have any more questions just PM or ask here. Blessings.

What is the earliest that the buses start running? Our earliest ADR is at 8:15 at Poly and we'll be staying at ASMo at that time.....should I try and make it for a later time or should I not have a problem getting from point a to point b?

Excellent idea! I highly recommend Crystal Palace for breakfast and try to get ADR's before the park opens so you can be in the park before it opens. This gives you a chance to do pictures on Main St. and infront of the Castle without the crowds being in your picture! ;) This was one of the high lights of our trip, we loved the buffet there and we loved being in the park before everyone else was, it had a special feel not crowded with people every where. Ohana's for dinner is excellent! Ask for an ADR time around 8, and ask to be seated near the window so you can watch Wishes right there, if you can't get it, then go onto the beach and watch from there, you'll love it! :wizard: If I could give you a tip about GF, plan the meal the last hour and half of the breakfast schedule or the last couple of hours of dinner that way it's relaxed (at first it won't seem that way, but the people start clearing out quick) and the characters get to spend more time with you and the kiddos. You'll love these tips, we did this and had a great time! :yay:
My favorite place was GF, take the time to walk around the grounds if you can, and if your coming from MK see if you can take the boat to GF, you'll get off the boat at the back of the resort, this way it gives you a chance to see some of the grounds before you get to your ADR's. GF was a huge suprise on how much I loved the food, I expected typical food and was very suprised and pleased, actually this was one of the best suprises of the trip!

I would suggest getting a Taxi which will cost between $8 to 10, since the bus may not be available to go to MK at an early enough time for you to catch the Monorail from MK to Poly.

I was wondering the same thing Caitlin. So if I have a breakfast reservtion at another resort, I would take a bus to AK since that is closest? And then get on the bus for whatever resort my reservation is at? Would that work for a reservation before the parks even opened? Thanks again.

These are all monorail resorts so far so if thats the case if you are at Epcot or Mk it will be fairly easy to get to these! Just by entering the resorts monorail.

The buses start running around 7 a.m., and then every 15-20 mins. there after. Hummm, I think you should make it for a little later, it might be hard to get there that early. You'll have to get to a park, get on another sort of transportation and then get to the resort for your ADR's, I'm afraid you might not make it.
Sorry, I know how hard it is to plan the ADR's, just so you know I think I changed our ADR's like a thousand times before settling. LOL! So don't worry about changing them, the CM's are use to it. Also, I would recommend having a note book with all your ADR's and your schedule in it so you know where and what your doing, it can get over-whelming sometimes. And what ever you do, never go without your reservation numbers for your ADR's as long as you have those your good. I made sure that a CM went over them with me before I left for my trip, so I could make sure everything was set. I did this as a seperate call, but I also did this several times with a CM that was changing my new ADR's so make them accountable, they sometimes mess things up or just don't care to take the time to really do the changes all the way through, but again if your getting a ressie # you've got the ressie, make sure you also cancel your previous ADR's when you change to something new, they don't automatically cancel them for you. I'm not sure why, but they don't, some did, but most didn't. :confused3
