Travel time to AKV via Magical Express on Mon. 6/13

We are staying at AKV in mid June. Our flight arrives at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, June 13th. Approximately what time will we arrive at Kidani Village via Magical Express? Aprroximately how long will it take to check-in and get to our room?

We're trying to plan for dinner... and also wondering if we'll be able to see Illuminations at 9 p.m. that night. Will that be feasible? Are we crazy to even think about it?

It should take about 35 minutes from the time the bus pulls out of the airport to arrival at the first WDW drop-off.

Add to that time (15 minutes?) to get off the plane and get to Magical Express (if you're not stopping for luggage).

Unknown amount of time to wait for the bus...I've never waited longer than 20 minutes and have on occasion gotten right on a bus which left right away...but I usually figure 15 minutes...

You also never know which resorts they'll go to in which order...AKV could be first, second or third stop ... so figure, at 10 minutes per stop (and time between resorts), another 20 minutes in case you're not first...

So...a good "rule of thumb" is to figure on 90 minutes--knowing it could be 30 minutes longer or shorter...

So, if you're plane arrives on time, at 4:30, you should be at AKV by 6:30, and possibly sooner...

Check-in is pretty quick, and that time of day there's a very good chance your room will be ready--maybe 10 minutes from getting off the bus to getting into your room?

So, if you're going to eat at AKV, I would think a 7 p.m. ADR is pretty safe...

You should have no trouble at all making Illuminations...even if "everything goes wrong" and it takes a lot more time than the averages...you could probably even make a 7:30 or 7:45 reservation at one of the Epcot restaurants...

We stay at KV and from getting off the plan to check in is usually 2 hours. Can be less if bus leaves quickly. AKV is last. Normally Pop, CBR and then AKV, KV

This was my experience during our recent trip in February. We were the 3rd stop where Pop and CBR were before us.

Last time we landed at 4:30 p.m., we stayed at AKV. We did not get to the resort until 7pm due to numerous delays. I think 7pm ADR is cutting it close.

AKV is usually the last stop. I would plan atleast 2 hours just to get to the resort.

I concur with everyone else. If you want to be safe and not stressed out, I would plan on 2 hrs to check-in. Most likely it will be a less, but you don't want to create a stressful first night. I think you might cut it a bit close to try and do a TS and Illuminations, unless you can get Rose and Crown or La Hacienda around 8pm and just plan on watching at dinner (Rose and Crown has a viewing area you can walk out to if your not on the patio) and you might luck out for a window seat at La Hacienda
