Travel time from Port to WDW?

This is the first time my family is going to Disney World AFTER our cruise and I was wondering what time I could reasonably count on being there by. We're going for Main dining (another first for us), so I know we'll be in the first wave off the boat. Is it safe to make a noon lunch reservation in one of the parks?

Thanks in advance...

Are you driving yourself/using a private service or using Disney transfers? If the first, barring any unusual accidents or the ship arriving late, noon will be fine. With Disney transfers, they may not depart before 9, and may stop at several resorts before yours. You would probably still be fine, but might feel more rushed. You can leave luggage will bell services whether your room is available at arrival or not.

Thanks - yeah, we're using the Disney transfers, so better to aim for a 1 pm lunch, just to be safe?

I would think noon would be fine, but 1pm will give you piece of mind. You didn't mention if your reservation was at the resort you are going to, so be sure to factor in travel time from your resort to where ever your reservation is. Enjoy!

When you talk to Disney dining, they say you should not book an ADR in a park before 12:30 on disembarkation day. Last year, we got off ASAP, used DCL transfer, checked-in at Boardwalk and walked to Biergarten by way of the International gateway. We had a 12:30 and arrived without ever rushing around noon.

We love just north of WDW and when we leave the boat we are home no later than 9:30. You should have no issue getting to a lunch by noon. You can actually precheck into the hotels online now and just need to stop by the desk to pick up the keys.

Good luck.

Both times we took Disney transportation from port to resort (first time it was to POR, second AKL) we were at the resort by 9:30 am, in the parks by around 11am. First time we ate at Cabanas had no wait for the bus to leave, second time we ate at the MDR, 1st seating, waited maybe 30 minutes or so for the bus to leave. YMMV
