Travel Time from Paramount Tour to LAX

On our last day in the LA area, we are planning on doing the Paramount Studio Tour.

Our flight leaves from LAX at 8:15pm on a Friday night and we need to return our rental car at the airport too. Would we have enough time to do all of this if we leave the Paramount Tour Area at 4pm?

It's possible. It's not too far to LAX and there are HOV lanes on the 110 and 105. I'm not sure if that is the best way to go or if it is better to take I-10 west and the 405 south. I would make sure you keep on schedule leave Paramount quickly and hope you don't get stuck in traffic from an accident.
