yes, there are dedicated buses that run from AKL to all the parks. The bus will make two stops, at Jambo House and at Kidani.
How long it will take to get from the AKL to each park will vary. Once on the bus, it is about 5 minutes to the Animal Kingdom (the closest park) and about 20 minutes to the Magic Kingdom (the furthest park). Others will usually run about 15 minutes on the bus.
The biggest difficulty predicting travel times is the wait for the bus. Typically they run every 20 minutes. However, luck seems to play a large role here. WE have had buses waiting when we arrived at the stop and not arrive for over an hour (one time only, but it shows that it can happen). If you count on waiting about 10-20 minutes each way, it should average out to about that in most cases.
You may be lucky and rarely wait or only wait a few minutes OR you could find that the waits are longer than usual for this trip.
So, for example, if you wait 20 minutes, have an
ECV load and then ride to the MK it could take 45 minutes to get there. If you have to wait for a second bus (busy times), it could take an hour. This is obviously a worst case scenario. We usually find 30 minutes will get us to/from the MK, bus stop to bus stop.
If you have to be sure to be there at a certain time, it is recommended to allow 90 minutes travel time when you make ADR's and such. It does take time to walk and then go through security and entrance to actually be inside the gates. Back at the hotel, depending upon the location of your room, it may take an additional few minutes to walk from the bus stop.
