Travel Time for ADR's?

Is there a "source" or thread that addresses common Travel Time for ADR?

In the past, any time we have eaten Table Service, it's been in the park we spent the day, or at a hotel on a non-park day. However, this trip, we have 2 "travel" ADR's that are outside of the park we plan on spending the day at. We are staying on site, and also have our own vehicle, so there is some flexibility on how we get to and from.

On Sat, 11/30 We are spending the day @ Animal Kingdom and have a 7:10pm reservation @ BOMA

On Sun, 12/1 We are spending the day @ Hollywood Studios and have a 5:25pm reservation @ Cape May Cafe

In both cases, we have no ideal the best way to get from the park to the restuarant or how much time to allow. on 11/30 we plan to eat and then return to the hotel so we figured it would be best to drive our own vehicle that day rather then use transportation, but on 12/1 if there is time, we would like to return to Hollywood Studios after our meal.

Any suggestions/advice are greatly appreciated. Thank you

I think most people give a general rule of thumb for 1 hour travel time. Having done the AK to AKL bus trip the ride is only about 10 minutes but who knows how long you have to wait for a bus?

Where are you staying? The answer may change my recommendation but in general, here's what I'd do:

1. Are there plans for after Boma? If not, I'd drive my own car to Animal Kingdom, then drive to the Lodge for dinner, for the convenience of returning to my own hotel after dinner. In this instance I would start making my way to my vehicle about 30 minutes prior. If Animal Kingdom isn't open that late anyway, I'd just leave when I was finished and head to the Lodge to explore before dinner.

2. For Hollywood Studios I would catch the boat to the Beach Club. The boat is slow so allow 45 minutes to 1 hour because you also may have to wait a bit. If you feel like walking, and your party doesn't drag, you can make it gate to door in 15-30 minutes, of course depending on how fast you walk. You can then walk or boat back to the Studios after dinner.

We prefer the walk between DHS and the Epcot area resorts. The walk from the entrance of DHS to the Beach Club lobby takes us 17 minutes. Unless the boat is approaching the dock or is at the dock, it's faster to walk. The boat ride itself is about 15 minutes but it's the waiting for the boat that makes it longer. Because of the time of year you are going, it's a very pleasant walk along the waterway.

For Boma, I would drive your car. You didn't say which resort you are staying at but the rides from AKL are pretty long. You would have to go from AKL to a park and then transfer to your resort bus. You could also transfer at DTD but that's usually the worst alternative unless you are staying at SSR and can walk from DTD back to your resort.
