I wasn't shamed the other day, but it was quite similar.
In our whatsapp group one friend suggests 'let's get together again!', the person where we usually hang out responds with 'yes, but we have to wait 2 weeks then Karin can join as well'.
And it took me a moment to realize that he meant because I travelled last week to Berlin, which is in a zone where we can visit without quarantining afterwards.
As I wasn't in the mood to get together anyway, I responded with a cheery 'yes, count me out, I'll see you next time!'
Luckily there are more people in this group with a calendar problem so the first time we might be able to get together is going to be mid October or something. But it did make me think, if he hadn't said it, I probably would have gone to his house. I'm glad I wasn't the first one to respond on the proposal. Or we would have had an uncomfortable conversation.
I am going to
Disneyland Paris this weekend, which at the moment does require a 10 day quarantine period afterwards, I have decided not to tell my friends and not to put it on Social Media till after my quarantine period is over.
