Traveling form Chicago to LAX to Disneyland. Arriving around 9pm.

What is the best option to get from LAX to Disneyland?

We are planning on arriving the night before the rest of our group and staying at a good neighbor hotel (leaning towards Best Western Plus Pavillions) for the night and just arriving, looking around Downtown Disney, grabbing some dinner and getting a good night's sleep.

Then we need to transfer over to Disneyland Hotel. So, that morning, will we have a long walk and look like morons lugging our luggage behind us? Or would we be better off taking a cab? If the answer is a cab, how much would that cost and do all the hotels just have them hanging around outside or do we just ask someone at the counter to call us one?

We are seasoned WDW travelers...this one has me a bit flustered!!!

Funny you ask this question because we are debating a split stay between a good neighbor and a onsite hotel. We were thinking the same thing if we took the Supershuttle from LAX to a good neighbor.

If your not planning on renting a car then a cab ride would be the easiest option for you. I'm sure the person at the front desk would gladly call for you. I calculated a fare and it showed $14 on taxifarefinder.com

Why don't you just add an extra day to your onsite hotel?

I agree.

Best Western Plus Pavillions)

Cabs don't hang around the offsite hotels except near the convention center. The hotels are too small. I imagine you found the BW Plus Pavillions from Disneyland.com it's not often it comes up on this site.

It's about 12 minutes to the gates, and another 10 minutes to the DLH lobby. Walking that's a ways to drag luggage. You could probably find a better deal just across the street from the DLR resort entry on Harbor and cut 5-8 minutes off the walk even staying on Katella at BW Stovals Inn would help.

So Stovall would be closer?

We have not booked anywhere yet...looking to in the next week or so.

We'd like ot be as close as possible for as cheap as possible...although if I am cabbing it, I guess proximity is not really that important since we are really going to just grab dinner and go to bed that night anyway.

Any other Suggestions???

It is July and Stovall is in a decent price range.

Disneyland Hotel is much more money for one night than what I am looking for. We will be getting in late and really just need someplace ot recoup from our long flight...we're used ot 2 1/2 hours to Florida, 4 1/2 will be a whole different thing! :)

! :)

If you can find a map, google or bing, and take a look, Stovalls is on the close end and Plus Pavillions on the far end of a long block.

It may be worth dragging the bag from there to the DLH. A Cab for so much when you may wait and take the time getting in and out that you could of walked. It a tought call you may decide when you are ready to go if you feel like hauling luggage or calling a cab. Stoval's is probably the closest offsite hotel to the DLH.

We are going to Disneyland for a girls weekend Oct 12 to 15. Found great rates flying into Long Beach, the next part of the problem getting from Long Beach to Anaheim? Any shuttle or renting a car even though we do not need it at Dland.

Thanks!
