I wanted a new carry on for Christmas. I love luggage and I buy at least one piece of luggage each year. Last year I bought the Lime Green Mickey Luggage which won't last more than 5/6 trips to Disney. I asked Santa for carry on luggage with 4 wheels this year. I asked him for Travel Pro as that was recommended highly on the boards so I won't have to buy new luggage each year. He bought me Samsonite (which is heavy) and was over $200. I am taking it back as I wanted the travel pro. I am on the travel pro site and found the

Odyssey 21” Expandable Carry-On Upright Spinner
http://www.travelproluggageoutlet.com/Results.cfm?category=32&type=atlanticcollections
I like the 21" one. I really want a spinner as they are easier on my back to move.
So my question for the Travel Pro experts "Is the Odyssey considered Travel Pro luggage or another brand called Atlantic? Is Atlantic made by Travel Pro?
Thanks, P

I think yes, but I'm not really sure! It doesn't matter what brand it is, find out the quality! :happytv:

I don't think Atlantic is as good as TravelPro.

Just to chime in...I went Travel Pro about 2 years ago after going through one after another of cheaper rollerbags. I travel a lot for work, so the investment seemed a wise one.

I went with some Travel Pro Crew 6 bags from http://www.luggagefactory.com/ , which has good discounts on older models. Mine were around 75% off. Overall, I've been happy - but the screw came out of the handle on my 28" shortly after buying it. I never tried sending for repair, my brother sort-of fixed with with a new screw. However, the handle doesn't close properly. Lesson learned: tighten the screws.

Also, be sure to pay attention to the weight of the bags. My 28" weighs over 12 lbs. I hit the 50lb limit with plenty of space still left in the bag.

I highly recommend Luggage Factory; I could never pay $400 for a suitcase!

thanks everyone, I really want to buy Travel Pro but I don't see that they sell a spinner, and I really want a spinner. any recommendations for a spinner? thanks, Penny

Try Heys. I know they have spinners. The deals on the company website are often better than at other websites. Also, you can look at the video of the 'torture test' their bags can withstand--they drove a vehicle over one of their bags.

Atlantic Luggage is Travelpro's sister line. Their newest spinner collection is the Graphite Lite 3 and it is extremely lightweight and affordable, in addition to having the same great quality that the Travelpro collections offer. The Odyssey is also from the Atlantic Luggage line. If you are set on purchasing a Travelpro bag, I would suggest the Crew 8 or the Maxlite, they are very lightweight and high quality.

Thanks everyone, I will check out your recommendations. Still looking for the perfect bag. :goodvibesLightweight sounds good. Penny
