1) What is a good rate for a 1 day car rental? :confused3 I will be renting on Sun. Oct 29-Mon Oct. 30 from the Car Care Center probably. (I saw it a couple weeks ago for $27, now it's up to $50-did I miss the time to get a good rate, or will there be more codes/discounts closer to Oct?) I've tried the codes on Mousesavers and they helped a little.

2) Should I make a reservation now? Than could I change it later if a better code comes up? Do you need to give your credit card # to make an online reservation? Can you cancel with no penalty?

3) What is Emerald Aisle? Is it good to sign up for? I see through Mousesavers you can sign up for free, should I do it?

4) What other car rental agenices are near WDW and will pick you up to get the rental car? I was only looking at Alamo and National, since that's all I know about. Are those the easiest to get to?

5) Will the car rental shuttles drop you at one of the parks after you drop off the rental car?

Sorry so long, this is all new to me! :confused3 Any other advice is appreciated. :) Thanks so much! :goodvibes

I would get the best rate you can find- there are hints at www.mousesavers.com to do that, and then change as you get closer if something better comes along! I saved like $50.00 two days before our trip last time.

Most places you can cancel up to the day before without penalty, just read the fine print to be sure!

I did emearld Aisle, and got a bigger car than intermediate, and the intermediate rate I got was cheaper than a compact, so I thought it was a good deal. You also save time by not having to stop at the counter, but going and picking a car and paying at the gate when you drive out.

I do not know about the shuttle, as we always rented at the airport.

I kind of wish I was renting a car because it is so fun to keep looking for deals!

Good luck!

Unless you signed up for the prepay rate they only need your name & email info. print out your confirmation. Keep an eye on the rates, if they go down rebook (the same way) and call and cancel the old (no fees)

If you booked under the prepay rate their is a $5 cancellation fee.
